RIP Luke Perry (October 11, 1966 - March 4, 2019), age 52 And RIP Shannen Doherty (April 12, 1971 - July 13, 2024), age 53 You both will be remembered as legends
@@user-uh1dd2jb2p😂😂😂 variety is key in the 21st century and color is beautiful white pasty white bland is out and never coming back integration is key 😎
I miss this show so much! I was a Dylan girl. Never missed an episode growing up. We didn’t have PVR, so you HAD to watch it and pay attention so you had something to talk about with the girls the next day at school…lol. Oh the good ole’ days ❤
Most of them were skinny, though. This wasn’t the ideal look. This is a very youthful look, which exempts her from the standards for the typical actress of the time. They would just say she still has her “baby fat,” which makes her attractive because youthfulness was (is) attractive. If anything, it’s just become less socially acceptable to express attraction for people this young.
They are both still young here full of life but fate has dealt with them otherwise may your memory Shannon and Luke rest in peace now you are angels R.I.P.
@@hd-xc2lzyeah, that’s cute. Back when no one realized kids who were actually 15 would compare themselves to 30 year olds. Worked out really well for the self esteem of future generations. Sucks because exploiting kids is horrible but so is telling every teenager if they don’t have the body of a 30 year old they are inadequate. What’s the right way to approach this conundrum?
I wasn't into this show as a teenager but this is still very nostalgic. Miss shows where kids actually communicated with their parents on a heart level.
Also kids that get hit on by grown adult men on motor bikes which wasnt shown as a bad thing but a positive thing to do....lol loved the 90s early 20s lol
@Diane this is most definitely 100 correct!!! Keep it up and show others as your kids reflect you in 99% of the time....leaving 1% for when they do silly things and you can say that didnt come from you lol
My cousin and I were obsessed with this show. It used to come on Wednesday so that became my favorite day of the week. To this day, I still consider Wednesday my favorite day of the week.
@@anneb889 I think it started on Thursdays and then switched to Wednesdays. When I started watching, it was already a few seasons in and was on Wednesdays. Or maybe Wednesdays was when summer reruns were on but it was definitely Wednesdays when I watched.
@@cmock810 That’s right, they not only had reruns in summer, but they did a “summer season” too (Brenda went to Paris). I know when it first started it was on Thursdays because I was in college and we would watch it before going out, lol. But I didn’t keep watching it through all the seasons, so you are correct, probably was Wednesdays in summer and later seasons. I still remember Brenda and Dylan breaking up to Losing My Religion in the car! Lol.
I watched this as a teenager in the UK and to be fair it was pretty exciting times back then. I was a decent looking lad and had girls fighting over me. It wouldn't happen now, even if you looked like Luke Perry.
He was supposed to be 16. I remember dating 16 years old when I was 14. He had a car, his own little bussines ( selling CDs or sth like that), was organising parties in a 5 star hotel ( I have no idea how?!) and was taking me to nice restaurants. So, yea things like that do happen:D
It is unrealistic, even for 90s BH, but there was more of a pressure to be sophisticated from young in that era. The style of the show hearkened to the aspirational fantasies of late 80s/early 90s youth.
I'm from Croatia. At the time the series was broadcast, there was a war in Croatia. During one episode there was a serbian attack on my city. Instead of being in the shelter, I watched the series and almost got killed when a bomb fell near my house. I loved that series❤.
@@strawberryseeds your comment is the reason it's mentioned. Women can be small medium or larger shape but on TV women they need to be extremely thin to get a good role. Women feel the pressure. In 90210 reboot teenagers were too thin that they got criticism for casting.
@@luzandlife9425 normal body is when a women is not underweight. That's what the above comment refers to. Back then Shannons body type was considered beautiful. Now days if leading actresses had her body type they would get fat shamed.
I have a vague memory of being four years old and watching a show with teenagers and then my grandmother comes into the room and tells my sister that the shows inappropriate for me. I always thought it was this show but even with talk of sex, drugs, suicide, etc., this show is really wholesome. It reminds me of a slightly more mature Full House. Lol.
Lol..my grandma told my mom I shouldn't be watching Cheers when I was a kid because it had "adult themes" but the Golden Girls was ok... really, grandma ? The golden girls who talk about sex in every single episode, that's fine , grandma ? 😂😂
I’m right there with you!! I had all the merch and I was in love with Brandon and Dylan. Such fond memories of loving this show. I was upset when Brenda left though
@cortezconquistador It was a sad day for sure. Shocking and heartbreaking. His death affected two generations. I knew him from 90210 and my daughter knew him from Riverdale. I thought it was kind of ironic as to how we are from different generations but he entertained us from different shows and we both enjoyed him and his acting.
Wow that show had some gorgeous peeps on it. It is sad that Luke Perry had to die. He was an earth angel- I guess heaven wanted him back...Such amazingly nice vibes in this clip. Thanks for sharing.
Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry were one of the most talked about couples of the 90's, they were the most popular love that was able to stand the test of time, a union of two hearts with an original way of being and living in a romantic provenance, both touching crowds of similar beings, and Beverly Hills, 90210 will remain forever will be associated with Brenda and Dylan who is already on the other side where the best, eternal and always alive, will remain in the memory of those who are there.
I still remember being about 14/15 and watching 90210 and deciding that I should go ahead and cut my own bangs to look like Brenda. It didn’t turn out so well. 😂
I loved this show... I even got to live in LA when I was 21 and because of connections I had in LA I got to go the school where they filmed the school scenes... I got to hang out at The Apple Pan the restaurant The Peach Pit is based on... it was awesome.
“It’s not that bad” means “you’re cute with that ugly hair. But please try to change it back within a week”. When mine was messed up…that was the same exact line I got from my husband “its not that bad “
I was not into Beverly Hills when I was a teenager but probably only because I was 13 and the only girl with a life similar to mine was Andrea. It made me feel like if I was missing out on something or was late for great adventures. Probably Dawson Creek was more realistic.
I had no business watching this show as a kid in prep school have me there in my feelings for a reship i had never had. This show is great, i love Shannen in this and esp in Charmed
Too soon for me 😢 never knew how much Luke perry's passing had affected me til now tho. Bless him & wishing the best for Shannen, I believe she still has a very serious health situation.
