this was a time period that i really ❤ dylan's character. when he wasn't drinking, doing drugs, dealing with dating drama, dylan was a cool guy. for the most part, dylan was a loner, but being around brenda, brandon and the walshes gave him that family connection that he was missing throughout his life. so, seeing him build that sibling relationship with erica was great to see and development for his character.
it would have been much better if Dylan got custody of Erica after having gone to rescue her. And if he was still with Brenda. I can see the 3 of them in their own spinoff.
Seconded, it doesn't matter if you're related by blood or not, as long as you consider each other family, you'll always have that bond. I love the Found Family trope.
Well what his mom do have a child with another guy um how else would se be his real sister and no there is no wonder don't be a hypocrite you do t think that about yours
So don't think it about other people and also expececially fake people it's just a freaking show you people always act Like it's real you guys are disillusioned
I remember that Noely Thornton, who played Erica, was Heidi in the 1993 Disney Channel movie. She'd be about 40 now, shame that she stopped acting when she became an adult.
@brettteply1207 But I highly doubt they were loved ir appreciated by 11/12 year old girls. His writing deals with some of the very, raw, brutal, dark sides of life. About the bad things that happen to people, and in his novels, there are no happy endings. There's just life and people carrying on the best they can.
How old was she supposed to bd here? I don't see ome little girl who wasn't even 12 years old, reading "The Old Man and the Sea." Hemingway is not the type of writer that kids we would appreciate. This is a ridiculous plot line
Sadly, no. The whole thing was a charade to run off with Dylan's money. However, Erica finds a way to get a letter to Dylan, telling him where they are heading.
Do you all remember how this scene ends? Erica has felt uncomfortable the whole day and she goes change when she get her period for the first time and is scared. And Dylan reassures her that it is all normal for a girl her age. Then at home she tells her mom.
Actually it's Mrs Walsh. He drives her to the Walshes--even though I am sure they pass supermarkets/drug stores on the way there. What would he have done if Mrs. Walsh was out and nobody was home?
not really she ran away from Hawaii and ended up on LA streets. But it would be awkward staying with the mom of your brother---and you were likely conceived from when your biological dad was cheating on Iris. I can see that being uncomfortable-bad for all parties.
@@robinorlowski2449I don't remember if she was actually Dylan's half sister at all, but I do recall Iris understanding that this was just a girl who needed a home and took her under her wing.
Not me, I was on swim team as a kid. I lived in the water. I'm not allowed to swim alone anymore due to epilepsy. But my husband keeps an eye on me when we go snorkeling.
@svin7987 *was* . Who writes "I never were." How do you get to be an adult and speak like that? And, nobody "dives their head." Your head is not separate from your body.
@@dawggirl My siblings and I were all on swim team as kids and "lived" at the pool/in the water as well. After swim team, we'd walk home for lunch. Then if we didn't have to do any yard or house work, we'd go back to the pool until it was time to go home for dinner. If our parents us, we'd go back again after dinner as well. We were like little fish.😂
@@Rumkitty2000 Have you ever even tried to learn any foreign language? Not everyone is from the US (or UK), you know, not everyone speaks English as their native tongue! If you are fluent in 4-5 languages, making mistakes that do not affect comprehension is not a big deal and, actually, shows courage and hard work!
that's not a shocker--he's playing basketball with Brandon either first or second season and in a tank top. So of course you see chest hair everywhere. At least he never went into the office with chest hair sticking out.
