The first 1:15 is what the stock muffler sounded like. The second half is the upgraded muffler. Replaced the stock muffler with a Harley Davidson Dyna Muffler
I was listening to the stock in the beginning and was about to click off before it switched up to the Dyna exhaust. What a big different between the two. nice!!!
Hi, thanks for posting. You convinced me to do this to ours. I'm working on it right now. No extra backfiring? As in, not any more than usual? Also, I'm laughing at the fact that two people disliked this video. What the heck? What is there to dislike, sheesh!
Pepsi can?!?!? What?? I was planning on a real clamp. I've already hacksawed some extra slits into the muffler end. So on this pepsi can trick, I assume you probably just cut it up so it squeezes in between the extra space between the Dyna ID and the S40 OD? It's a great idea, I hadn't thought of it.
yea that is the idea with the can. I did not do it that way. after cutting the slits i applied muffler sealant and used 2 clamps. It created a perfect seal.
does the dyna muffler mount to the stock exhaust mounting brackets? I'm finding various years of dyna mufflers I just don't want to buy one that doesn't fit.
Hi Daniel, how do you like the sound of the Dyna muffler? is there a reason you chose this one over some of the other options out there? have you noticed a difference in performance?
like it. We chose not to rejet so the performance is the same. We chose this one because the baffled dyna muffler offers the same amount of backpressure.
no change at all. several thousand km later the exhaust pipe is not yellowing or turning blue. You can rejet but the change of this muffler is not enough for it to be a requirement. With the rejet you will gain unnoticeable power and lose noticeable fuel mileage.
