Thank you so much! Just learnt that I need to 'pack' everything in lod and then works like magic! I've created visibility control based on value and then also added a parametr to override the calculation. Thanks to this parts of dashboard are hidden by default (calculation returs 0), but users can show it by changing the parameter. Sweet! :)
Thank you very much for explaining dynamic zone visibility so brilliantly. I used to use filters to expand compress sheets within a canvas but to compress sheets using that method I have to hide sheet title. After watching this video I used dynamic zone visibility and it worked even with sheet titles as you showed in this video. Thank you very much.
@sqlbelle When using Dynamic zone zooming, have you run into issues where the the charts are different sized, say like one of the graphs is big table? When I try to adjust height for those table to match the other charts to even it out, it fixes the height of the table and it no longer zooms to a full page.
Hello there, i just want to consult on you on how to work on 3 parameter with each of it has 3 list inside of it. Each required individual chart to show. Theres a hierarchy on the selection that would define which charts to show. Example the first parameter is (QTD, Yearly, Monthly), second parameter is (Region A,B), third parameter is (CostumerA,B). thank you appreciate your help
Please keep up the great work. Your videos have helped me a lot in my learning journey. Every video is detailed and well explained. Thank you so much ❤
Accessing such outstanding e-learning resources is truly an honor, as they effortlessly simplify the understanding of complex concepts without any financial commitment. My growing obsession with Tableau can largely be attributed to my fascination with this particular RU-vid channel, Thanks 'sqlbelle'.
Thank you so much Urmimala. I am glad you are finding the videos helpful. And I appreciate very much our exchanges here in YT and LinkedIn. I am learning from you as well, your feedback always gives me something to ponder. I look forward to many more thoughtful exchanges! With much gratitude.
I must say this is indeed, the best DZV video out there on RU-vid. I have been struggling with this concept for a long time, but this video helped me clear a lot of my doubts. Thanks, Donabel for such amazing content on Tableau.
Hi Thank you so much for the video. I am trying to create a conditional navigation button for a dashboard. Condition being for example 'drinks', if the subsidary sells drinks (if drinks => 1 then True) we select from a the subsidiary from the filter sells drinks then the button will be visible else it wont be. I've created it using a sheet and it works but you have you have to deselect a sheet before reselecting it and from a UX prespective it looks buggy. Would you have any suggestions?
Wonderful explanation with all the use cases and how to implement them. I learnt so much from this video. Thank you so much and keep up the great work.
This is a great video. I have a question. I have 2 separate worksheets that I'm swapping between. The only difference is that 1 worksheet shows cards with
Hello ma'am. Thanks for posting your extraordinary content 'DYNAMIC ZONE VISIBILITY '. Please upload tableau content regularly. Kindly upload how to use tableau layout containers video with use cases.
Thanks for this video. I have already used this feature in my organization, but it has a bug. After using this feature in any dashboard, the schedule is failing. If I remove then schedule is running successfully. Do you have any solution for this issue?
Great video, I like this technique better than some others but I'm getting stuck when I'm creating the Calc [Zone parameter] ! = "All" it shows a True instead of false, which is needed to set everything else up. I created the parameter just like you did so I'm not sure what's going on please help! Thank you for your great content it's really thoughtful and well done.
Hello Sean! Thank you for your comment. Does the parameter have the 5 values? If it does, the Zone Parameter should be true for 4 of the 5 instances. I typically show the parameter while testing, when you select "All" in the parameter, the calc [Zone Parameter] should become false.
@sqlbelle yeah I set the parameter up All, Top Left, Top right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right All selected, and it just shows True if I select Top Left it stills says True, it doesn't respond the way your demonstration did.
@@seanmcization it might be the calculated field called "TL Selected Zone" that's not in the sheet yet. I published my workbook here for reference, if you will find it helpful: public.tableau.com/views/DynamicZoneVisibility-UseCase4-sqlbelle/Tutorial?:language=en-US&publish=yes&:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link
