Great presentation. This is just brilliant. May I know what type of performance challenges have you seen with Customer Insights, when dealing with large volumes of data, especially during the identity match and merge process?
Would it be a good idea for business to use Customer Insights by itself, or does it only work best as an additional app alongside Sales or Customer Service?
The part demonstrated here - now called Customer Insights - Data - is designed to be standalone, you don’t have to have Dynamics 355 with it. However it now includes the Customer Insights - Journeys (Dynamics 365 Marketing) in the same license so if you don’t already have a marketing automation system or are looking to change or upgrade that part of your tech stack that is well worth considering
Hi Lisa, that's the best CI video I seen so far, efficient and illustrated anything needed to get started! I am wondering how are dealt the duplicates of a single data source. Is there a mean to flag them in CInsight and feedback the system the duplicates are from? Or do we enrich back each record ignoring their is a duplicate? Thank you for your Lisa s insight if possible 😊
Hi Lisa, Thanks for the nice tutorial. I was following your tutorial and able to get customer profile from the sample data (same as yours). However, when I tried the real company data, my customer profiles are not updated. I can see all the fields, but values are not updated. I run the whole process several times, but still no values. Is there any way I can delete the profile and start from again? If not, does the environment reset will work ? Thanks.
How to setup matching rules for 3 entities ? If I setup entity1, entity2, entity3. Added a matching rule between entity1-entity2. Now do I have to match entity3 with entity1 and entity2 individually or can use a interim result of entity1-entity2.
I read customer insights recommends next best actions, but couldn't understand what next best actions are. Could you give some examples of Next best actions that customer insights recommends?
Hi Juan, if you use on-premise data sources, you need to import and transform the data using Power Query connectors docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/connect-power-query
Singleton is another word for unmatched records. I load my data from many different sources, not every customer record e.g. from my CRM system has a match in any of the other data sources. That could mean I need to lower my matching rules to find more fuzzy matches, or just that one dataset has a heap of customers in it that don't appear in the other data sources.
