I could be trippin but ever since he started training in Thailand Daley's style has changed, it may be for the better. Very relaxed and precise good stuff indeed
Fernando is no joke also a good Muay thai coach, even his corner guy Isaiah is a badass fighter/ coach. If u replay the fight and look at Fernando defense almost every kick and some punches was blocked.
Now that I look back on this fight, I think Gonzalez was very technical in this, his ability to crash the distance, but not recklessly to the point where he ran into knees that Daley threw, but to pick and choose when to crash, his defence was pretty on point, his head movement when crashing the distance with overhands were on point in that third round. The way he’d switch to southpaw and throw that left down the pipe was really good too
I am sorry, but if this is the same Fernando Gonzalez who will be fighting Mike "Venom" Page, then Fernando won't a chance. Mike is too quick and too fast for Fernando. Sorry.
The real problems with us minority is that we are not honest enough to put things together, so that we can sponsor our own fighters. We depend on others to match up or make the fight possible, so they have the money and power to do what they want. Mike is the greatest fight right now, but no one really sponsoring him, so he end up fighting anyone they match up. I know life isn't fair, but we minority must be honest and come up with real entertainment.
Daley, doing to much legs kicks and at the 3rd round he's spend. I don't know why he didn't use his hands speed for his advantage? : ) And use his hands to setup kicks. Wonder if he injury his hands?
Damn, this is crazy to see Fernando standing up to and fighting Semtex. MVP made Fernando look like a scared bum. The sadest part is I think Semtex may be better than MVP, but maybe not. Maybe Fernando ran from MVP for a reason and not Semtex.
