On this episode of #DynamoShorts we update Revit model elements by importing data from Excel through #DynamoForRevit! In my example I use the Excel export from the previous episode to update Room information within the #AutodeskRevit sample file! We also talk through how to make the script usable within #DynamoPlayer by providing user facing inputs for added versatility.

thanks for that useful video, I followed the steps of importing an excel sheet but it still gives me an error in dynamo 1.3. what might be the problem?

For some reason when i tell the Data.importExcel node to read as a string, it adds three decimals to the element ID and room number and sort of breaks the whole script. I have been trying to work around it, any advise? Update: Nvm, i started over and it worked perfectly, thank you!
