Organizations building modern applications are increasingly turning to serverless API architectures powered by GraphQL and NoSQL databases to increase development velocity and decrease operational overhead. In this talk we will review key GraphQL and NoSQL concepts, how to use AWS AppSync and Amazon DynamoDB to create a serverless GraphQL API, and discuss the pros and cons of two approaches to using DynamoDB with GraphQL, single-table vs multi-table design.
Learning Objectives:
* Objective 1: Understand the differences between single-table and multi-table design patterns when connecting a GraphQL API to an Amazon DynamoDB database.
* Objective 2: Learn how to get started quickly with a serverless GraphQL API powered by AWS AppSync and Amazon DynamoDB.

40:45 - Is it an confirmed that AppSync resolvers run sequentially per request? If so this is a design miss surely?

That's a great question, Janek! This overview on Unit & Pipeline resolvers may shed some light on how they operate: go.aws/3NNfiGa. If you have any feedback or suggestions for our AppSync team, feel free to let them know by clicking the Feedback button in the upper right corner. ↗️ ^RM

Hi there! 👋 You can find a complete overview of GraphQL, here: go.aws/3wUotfT. 📖 I also recommend this doc to help you in designing your schema:go.aws/3wLP92w. 🔖 ^RS
