Larvae of the Hercules Beetle stay one month in the L1 stage and two month in L2 stage. So I prepare for ten larvae a 22 Liter box wherein they can live for the next 4 months until they are young L3. See how I prepare that box.

What if you can't find white rotten wood? Can you use just flake soil, or do you need some kinshi on the bottom? I live in an arid place in America (Texas), and I can't reliably find rotten wood.
