No disrespect to what I suppose would be the “mainstream” platforms. I listen to those as well because I’m a fantasy degen. But 3 years ago I found bdge and that was the first time I saw fantasy content go more in depth. From that I found Destination Devy and Ray was going over some college players in Devy, it was my first time playing dynasty so I wanted to soak up as much information as I could on the difference from redraft. From there I found the podcast feeds, south Harmon, trades in 5 and Scott’s old podcast feed as well. Years later I have built some juggernauts and it’s all because of finding the actionable advice from primarily Ray and Scott. Yall made me some serious money in the past couple of years but the biggest thing I appreciate is the bragging rights from the consistent success. You guys know your stuff and earned a fan for life with whatever content you attach your name to.

So true. I appreciate that Scott and Ray realize that most people are playing with other smart and informed people as well and adjust their strategies accordingly. I was listening to another dynasty podcast a few days ago and they gave the advice “Try to trade for Drake London in leagues now because so many people in leagues aren’t paying attention and may be eager to move on from him because his first two years weren’t great”. I unsubscribed to that podcast a few minutes later.

Just started a league with a friend where our one WRT spot is your weekly “captain” who gets a 1.5x multiplier like DFS single game slates, but you can only use each player once in that spot. Almost full and we draft in July, pretty excited about this one.

I pump thru 20-30 different pods a week with all thr driving I do for work. There's 3-5 I rely on for actual actionable content, the rest is just to get my dynasyy/fantasy fix and hear some different perspectives

The player pool will gain more and knowledge over time. They will know all the buzz words. But I assure you that the majority of people will not implement the strategies properly. Most will always think with emotion. They will always fall in love with player takes. They will always be short sighted.

I just wanna put this out there. DD is the front runner on strategy and its followers will have a leg up on their league mates because of it. Even with just the free content. I can’t imagine where I would be if I was in the discord!

I was in on cj stroud after he had the best elite 11 ever. Been on stroud, dont sleep on Zachariah. A key new thing to consider is the kick return rules change, any returning deserves a value boost, how much so is tough, depends on the player and situation, but i would say a good returner is good for 3 tds, so 18 points, plus added boom potential, which is great for bb of daily fantasy, im targeting alot of dudes that are return specialists. Definitely something i take into account between 3rd or 4th round rookie picks

My favorite part of dynasty and fantasy is the ‘why’. Don’t give me the answer. It’s the same reason I’m a UX designer, I want to solve the complex problem with an easy to use solution. I’m keeping a list of players on teams who will handle kick/punt return duties because I think the rule change could set the league on fire. I’m rambling now, g’day gentlemen.

Check out the destination Devy podcast feed. They have some shows breaking down the differences. Scott has a show called destination dynasty as well where he goes over roster construction specifically for best ball and lineup leagues as well.

Something i do with dynasty assets is to treat them as LEAP call & put options... applying GREEK principles like Theta, Gamma & Delta. Perceived value... how many players are simply MEME stocks

@RayGQue I guess the most simple and practical example is how we value Time. So a 2027 future 1st has more theta value vs a 2025 future 1st simple because it has the most potential value to climb. Gamma applied to short term value gain on depreciated (shorted) assets like a Ridley or a Samuel in 2024.

I listened to the footballers about 5+yrs ago and I just wasn't impressed and they couldn't hold my attention. Haven't watched em since. Interestingly, and I'm not saying there's correlation, I've been highly successful the past few years. My profit has been at least equal to my league fees each year, and that's including multiple dynasty teams that are rebuilding and making me nothing. Unfortunately, I also had a few months worth of listening to the counselor a handful of years ago too... quit watching his junk much quicker, thankfully.

The counselor is the fantasy community wild card 😂 robust RB in 2024, cheering for player injuries, not taking QBs in SF leagues. He’s built different

Tbh, content creators skew player value significantly. The hate on goff, the miss valuations on veterans, etc. Obviously opinions differ but the lack of conviction or willingness to be against the population is annoying. If you have a portfolio then the need to diversify is understandable but the lack of trust in your ability to be the smartest guy in the room is something i dont believe in. I know im not the smartest but i also know i am a shark, i go for the w in every league, i drafted tye hill, #1 on my big board a year ago, in every league i could. I value tes, rbs, vets, fade qb, why cause they are undervalued. I use the market to manipulate others, not to fit in with them. I scout, watch film, and understand analytics, so i can target year 1 points and find the next ones. Went hill, allen, barkley, paired them with gibbs, LaPorta, puka, downs, jamo, then traded for evans and mostert, lost in superbowl, traded future 1st for what ended up being 1.01 in September. High risk, high reward, have conviction, won in redraft, bb, and dynasty. Im not giving donations to these leagues, im competing every year, got 10 picks, 5 first, every odd except #1, the one had but moved after the combine, went heavy on x worthy in the big board before the combine, london and pitts too before cousins, follow your heart, listen to your head but dont let it guild you to the point that its all process and no balls. My two cents, trying to be a content creator myself, suck worh graphics and branding, but when i come lookout.
