Theres acknowledging and embracing your own cheesiness...which some of the older games and VA's DID to at one point, and then theres...this. COME ON GUYS! I defend and appreciate english dubs, but even THIS cant be entirely defended, AND I LOVE DUBS!
What I love about this game is that they make characters in these cutscene really good. It's similar to their history. Characters' personalities are not be overexaggerated like the games before. Like DW8, it's so anime and I hate it.

Would’ve loved for that guan yu, zhou cang, and guan ping scene to be a bit more emotional, especially since we kinda know it’s the last battle his children had with him
the exaggerations of characters and most things in general has made me abandon the dynasty warriors after my childhood, three kingdoms reminds me greatly of it. yet that game brings back memories of 5 and 2, my main games i was raised upon. I'd hope that one day that Koei makes a game more grounded in the reality of the three kingdoms, whilst still allowing for the legends of lone warriors that exist within chinese history
Some of these actors are pretty good, they just don't suit their characters! Cao cao and liu bei are an example of this. Edit - add zhou cang is pretty good 🤣

Everything about this game was an abomination to the series. Koei, please go back to the drawing board and please make the next instalment something memorable and worth playing over again.
You can tell the voice actors had nothing to go by other than the devs telling them to read the script with so and so emotions, that be exaggerated ones.
Man the VA strike destroyed this game. It sounds like the same exact two guys talking through everyone in the most flat "I think this sounds cool" voice.
The game may not be the best, but it's not the worst. Trust me, I know how people feel about the game itself and the voice acting. Myself, I enjoy it because it's just Dynasty Warriors and the open world was new to it whether it was executed wrong or not. I play the game in english dub, I agree with how the acting it but we have to think about where the previous voice actors are and why they weren't voicing this time. These voice actors are not the best but there are a some good ones like Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang. The clones and stuff is bad but I thought since it's a new battle system and open world, they had to cut some things to see how it will go, of course it was not received well, but I on other hand did not mind this at all, I just went with it. All we can do is hope that Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a bit better.
The background music honestly ruins these endings. I tried watching Guan Ping’s ending without the music with Chinese dub and it felt like I watched a drama movie. It was just so good.
Guan Yu's age is actually older than Liu Bei, however he made Liu Bei the first bro, because he thought that a leader must be righteous and benevolent man like Liu Bei
Until now I am sooo confused after 9 seasons of this game and I still don't know which kingdom is the right one, which one is the true one to lead? Is it Shu or Wei ?? Shu is kindness but Wei is force and reason so which one then
@@tannerlion1994 Sima Yi lead the rebellion against cao pi which end the wei dynasty, and the birth of Jin dynasty which defeated all other dynasty (wu and shu). Then the rest is full with corruption XD
