Dynasty Warriors Online - The Good Old Days  

Shamrock here, I freaking miss this game ! T_T

I always wanted to continue playing Dynasty Warriors Online. Wow, it's been a long time upon memories with the game, and also some karma and infamy with the times that it has its... toxic moments. I wasn't really a memorable player for DWO but I had been drawn in to the series because of this MMO game based on a console, beat em up, tactical action game, based on Chinese historical novels. It's nice to meet you Cao Yuan, I am known as Zanjaryu.MC1 from Liu/Shu and Cao/Wei. When playing the game, my PC from the old times when I needed a better performance and graphics computer. I do have good memories with some and also those that are known as Khans. I used to build my own romanticized series based on the DWO history based on players I know with the Three Kingdoms World, but not to copy off the Three Kingdoms Series as ahold. I also like playing the Empries when you create a character and many more to add in. DW8E will be my most favorite when it comes to creativity, thanks to DWO. I hope to see other DWO players that are still alive through the internet. I just wish to have friends... But I'm selfish long ago for being a lonewolf...

ChaoRa here, still miss this game and its community every day. Looking back it really was a pay too play experience, locking armouries and weapon upgrades behind pay walls, and these days the gaming community roasts games for just have pay walled cosmetics, lets not even begin with how expensive and low chanced it was to dying your gear another colour. Loved the the feeling of tension and excitement from playing Confront, Showdowns and later on Survival mode (DWO did Battle Royales before it was cool fyi) no other mmo game gives me the same feeling.

Overall DWO was good time. Great vid brother. I played DWO (I was Glyde.CD1 usually in Shu) back in the day. I hope it comes back despite some of its shortcomings.

As a Dynasty Warriors fan myself, I started with the series since 2, and despite many fans saying 5, 4, and 3 were the best, I do agree that so many wonderful memories are still a part of these games, but 2 was what started it for me to adore the Dynasty Warriors series, especially my main girl, Sun Shangxiang~ 💜 Ah, the good old days, I heard about DWOnline when I was still a freshmen at highschool, and instantly I didn't hesitate to try this game out, and never once regretted it. Yes, I didn't also like the fact we had to spend actual money on a few things to this game, but one thing I didn't regret was expanding my garden at the home~ Creating rows of peach trees surrounded by so many peonies, lilies, bellflowers, iris's and strawberries to make it look so heavenly... Gosh how much I miss my garden and my animal bodyguards, from my precious deer to wolf, fox, pandas, and my beloved tiger named after Sun Jian... I miss my babies, nothing but sweet memories just imagining them following me around the peaceful garden to set their souls at ease to feel loved... The good old memories indeed... TT o TT; 💔

I remember being among top dogs in this game for years. Never been in strong guild but still kicked ass like crazy. Had multiple 9/10 kills in confront games. Shout out to my anoying cheese gang FengHong and TJHooker. We owned the best quite often.

10:18 RRRRAAAAMMMMPPPPPAAAAAGGGGEEEEE!!!!!! GuoShang reporting in. This game definitely favored the cash system and whales cause any amount of "git gud" besides player skill depended on unlocking more weapon and armor slots from the cash shop, being able to send items to people required an item from the cash shop. The drop rates were abysmal, now, it's understandable cause you should ever expect getting decent items for zero effort, but the endless grind with a really really low drop rate, can suck the fun out of the game. For it's flaws with the games management and cash system, it really did have a great player experience with the fights and you genuinely developed a sense of community and with the people you play with, you all become good friends. And Sword here, dont let his modesty get you, dude could throw down like a pro and led us to some of the best wins.

Only flaw was the new players had to climb a very difficult skill gap. Confront was amazing. I see familiar names commenting. If this game was to ever come back I’d jump back in a heartbeat. I always have a phase of looking back at all my old confront videos on RU-vid hahaha

it was super fun - shame overseas version shut down so early then japanese servers finally died. i didn't like how pvp heavy it was, but apart from that, the combat was fun enough to keep me going when i was younger.

I remember someone invented a way controlling Gan Ning’s Musou running shape is like a club in poker card. This method was really useful in such a competitive game.

We need a DW online game for next gen as a free to play title. The only servers left on DWO on PC is the chinese servers.

Winter.WW1 / T - T.??1 here , I love seeing that there is other people who still remember the game its interesting seeing names I remember in your screenshots and comments . The skill gap is what killed this game you couldnt be a new player you would just get crushed at one point(few years after server started) there just wasnt enough unskilled players to play against. About cash shop what you truly needed in this game is 3 -4 weapon racks and shipping desk that was enough for you to play at top lvl and you could find ppl to buy that for you in exchange for gold if you were unable to buy with your own cash. Regarding weapons you could go rly far with shity weapons and skill/teamplay there were weapons that didnt require blue bars like Pikes,Vorpal I.Sword,Sima Yi for 10 Kills , Guan yu crescent 30000 for KO , Whip or Yuan Shao for showdown. Here are some anecdotes:there were bugged weapons on our server like rank 5 weapon with rank 6 stats and I think we had some weapons with swaped stats on server also like Gan Ning with Lu Bu weapon stats , at one point for a short period of time there was a glitch at marketplace broker and fee was actually negative so you would end up with more money then you should and certain people used it to get milions(this was also realtively early in the game) , one time aeria shop bugged and ore was 1 cent 1 ore I think. Shoutout to all JB members,friends and acquaintances who run into this comment.
