Here’s an advice for you: If your Vital is at or lower than 25% of your maximum Vital, add a credit or two and use it. This will add Vital based on your Maximum Vital. For example, if you use a credit when your maximum Vital is 64, you gain 64 Vital. The current Vital can be over the Maximum Vital, but after completing a stage, if the current Vital is over the Maximum Vital, it will then drop back to number based on the Maximum Vital.
If defeated in single player, you will see a continue screen your chosen hero quipping stuff before the countdown goes to zero. Liu Bei, for instance will say he cannot die here and ask the gods for strength. Same thing happens if both players are defeated (2P co-op). 33:27 - shown in here is Guan Yu’s continue screen.
I always found this game interesting because of it's unique gameplay but the only thing I didn't like is that you were confined to your horse. Luckily in Warriors of Fate it was way better game.
This is something I would need to do online and so far, I have been unable to find a way to do it. MAME++ 0.112 can play it online, but the problem is the cursor goes the opposite way if you move the mouse too quickly, so I don't think it's playable enough. Retroarch doesn't have the ability to use a mouse online. Parsec doesn't seem to accept rawinput. MAMEHub looked like the best option, but I haven't found a way to get around how the third player can't connect. I only tried this with Laser Ghost, so I really should try with Crypt Killer before ruling it out completely, but I'm expecting the same results. Anyways, unless I can figure out a good way to play it online, then I can't make a 3p video of it.
