I’ve listened to the whole Evoke range and the Evoke 50’s are very good speakers as you mention but I have to say the Evoke 30’s ,which I now own, have a little more finesse and control over the 50’s personally. I also compared the Evoke 30 to the Contour 20i but I still preferred 30’s in every way hence my decision to buy them. 😊
Pat Rothfuss became an international best selling author with his first book, The Name of the Wind, which is a 662 fantasy tome you could use as a doorstop. When asked what his strengths are as a writer, his first comment was "brevity". How could an author of a 662 fantasy tome be expert in brevity? It's counterintuitive, but it's true. There's an efficiency at play in how he writes. He's since written successful short stories as well, bearing out the truth. I think all the video says is that for $10 or $50 or $200 or $1000 or $5000, each speaker has a price-to-performance ratio they're calling value, and the value offered by this very expensive set of tower speakers is high compared to the price. It punches above its weight. It's still expensive, it's not a "value" speaker in the sense of "budget option", but it's a value speaker in terms of "they cut out the middleman and integrated vertically with their own in-house driver manufacturer and that value premium is assigned to the customer, not their profits".
