Sometimes new innovations are met with resistance because they challenge the assumptions of people who have become accustomed to thinking about problems in a very different way. I think this is one reason that many people have only given a cursory look at Ron Davis’ work.
In this video, I explain why I feel that a deep dive is needed to fully understand and appreciate the genius behind the ideas that gave rise to the Davis programs.

Thanks for these videos. They have been very helpful. I have a son who struggles with dyslexia. I picked up Ron's book over a year ago and gave it a skim...watched some videos, thought it sounded a little weird and continued pursuing phonics based help for my son. Fast forward a year and my son still struggles to make progress in reading and his teachers don't know how to help him. I picked up the book again. Read it in 1 weekend, watched a bunch more of your videos and found the nearest Davis facilitator and set up an assessment. I truly believe that this is what will help my son and I can't wait to get started!

am interested in having my son take the program in our area, I suffer from Dyslexia as well. Do you recommend that I take the 30 hrs course Dyslexia workshop from the website that you listed? And then walk my son through it? My mother that is an excellent reader and also offered to do the workshop and then teach my son. Is that how the workshop works? Once you take the workshop will you be able to help other dyslexic students or do you have to have other requirements ? Im just trying to figure out what is the difference between taking my child to the 5 day intensive program taught by the individual in our area and the workshop that is offered from the Davis International. Thanks for your time!

Hi Victoria, thank you for your questions. The answers to your questions are quite long, I recommend that you call the nearest Davis facilitator to you and talk with them, they will be happy to answer your question. You could also contact Davis international and talk with them as well.

Thank you! I’ve included this video in my personal blog journaling about our story with dyslexia as a family. Some friends who are teachers / or parents of children with learning issues have responded very positively to this blog that explains how Davis method helped our son.

I feel it is fantastic that Ron delved so deep & unpicked this. I've just finished listening to the book and I'm so in awe, and amazed that I wasn't made aware of this technique years ago when I was diagnosed. I cannot wait to have the technique nailed!
