I love your presentation. Thank you so much for sharing. I've added this to one of my playlists to use as reference for later on! I would like to suggest during the intro that while discussing presenting data based on biological sex (vs gender), a simpler way to differentiate that for the audience would be saying "those assigned female at birth", "individuals assigned male at birth", or, AMAB/AFAB for short.

Thank you for your kind comment and polite suggestion. Gender terminology is still a new area for me so appreciated being pointed in the right direction :) - Nat

@@ExceptionalIndividuals No worries at all! I understand the struggle. I'm a trans identifying person who facilitates independent workshops for local businesses/medical practices to help share awareness and education on pronouns, gender identities and the LGBTQIA+ community. If you're ever interested in conversing, please feel free to reach out and I will send you my business card. Thanks again for the video!!! I have been diagnosed with ADHD & ASD, and have been suspecting dyslexia for some time now. It was very validating to hear that there's differences when it comes to AFAB peeps. 🏳️‍⚧️✌️

I'm sorry to hear that you feel dyslexia has had a negative impact on your life. It's common for individuals to receive a dyslexia diagnosis later in life and struggle with the realization of how it has affected their past experiences. While it can be frustrating not knowing whether you have ADHD or not, getting checked can potentially provide some clarity and allow you to explore strategies to manage any symptoms if present. It's important to remember that a diagnosis does not define you, and there are resources available to help individuals with dyslexia and ADHD lead fulfilling lives.

What nonsense. The ability of men to read is hardly lower. Rather, the rates of maturation in men and women differ. + higher variability in men. Processing speed can correlate, as well as other moments, no other correlations are needed. For example, boys are less interested in reading and read less often. This probably correlates with the ability to read. In the upper distribution for a number of studies, both boys and girls have the same number. It's not about reading ability (i.e. potential) and in completely different things.

I agree, it's important to consider the nuances and complexities of the issue. Gender differences in reading ability can be influenced by a variety of factors, including motivation, cultural factors, and even biological differences in maturation and processing speed. It's important to not oversimplify the issue and to acknowledge the role of these various factors in determining reading ability. The focus should be on providing equal opportunities and support for individuals, regardless of gender, to reach their full potential.
