This is one of the only good reviews I have found for the Dyson fan! Thanks for measuring the airflow since that's one of the biggest concerns regarding fan performance

Here in California our Best Buy is having a deal where you save 120 dollars on the fan! Definitely buying today. My current fan is trash and always rotates with no stopping function lol honestly any fan would be a upgrade from what I have

great review, only one addition would be to use a simple sound meter app to measure the difference in sound but hah super way of measuring airflow.

Yes, I’m planning that for my 2021 review ! I have made a more recent review if you are interested. But yeah, i was thinking of buying a sound meter but forgot that I could do it with my phone. Saw this in another video. Next time ! Would like to measure airflow also ;)

I bought it refurbished on eBay (dyson store) with a sale and a big coupon. It’s 400$ + taxes here new. About the same price as 300 euro. A bit crazy for a fan but it does work well.

Yes at low level. This is the biggest advantage of this fan. It’s really quiet at low level but still produce good wind if near. Think about subscribing.

I just went to the store and I wasn’t convinced to buy one. The fan on level 10 still isn’t strong enough to keep you cool in the summer

I know this video is over a year old, but "there is absolutely no button on this fan" my dude, there absolutely is. I don't know if it does everything, but you can turn it on/off and change speeds with it at least :)

No. The Dyson COOL is a marketing strategy by Dyson. It’s just a simple fan that pushes the air.

Is the air that comes out of it actually cold? That is the biggest worry I have with this fan. And if it is cold how cold can it get? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

That’s BS marketing from Dyson. It doesn’t cool the air whatsoever. It’s just a fan that push the air in your room like any other fan. It’s has no AC capability.

It is worth the price I paid (150 CDN) for refurbished instead of 400$. I wouldn’t pay the MSRP personally but that’s me. But, I wouldn’t use a so cheap that I can’t sleep. I’m sure there is a fan that does the work for less. Maybe try to find one refurbished by Dyson on eBay. 1 year warranty.

Reviewer should use a better desk fan to compare to Dyson. A cheap tower fan? Desk fan will be quieter, produce 30x more wind at max speeds. Will cost u only $60. Dyson fan after 6-12months of regular use, you start to hate it, as performance will be bad.

The conclusion of the video was exactly that. Finding a fan that cost more than the 30$ Costco fan but way less than the dyson. Unfortunately, I didn’t have one to test myself. Anyhow, the best fans are the ceiling fans, silent and a lot of airflow.

True, I can’t hear the tv. I don’t know at what sound level you listen your to but thrust me, that fan (cheap one) was not enjoyable to live with. Doesn’t mean the Dyson is worth the normal price.

Thanks for commenting. I’ll try to improve. That review was one of the first video I did when I begun where I was actually in it and I was stressed about me speaking in English more than anything else. In other videos, I’m too calm. Sometimes, I nailed it. With time, I’ll find the right recipe 😉
