Today I am unboxing the very first Dyson ball animal 3 on RU-vid! 😁 Very few people have this vacuum so I am so lucky to be a part of the first probably dozen people to get their hands on this. 🤗 More videos coming with it really soon!🧡
Dyson claimed they were not developing them but we're going to continue making them. They only added this head into an existing Dyson design was because Shark still sell a lot of upright machines here in the UK. Disappointing to see that it doesn't have an alluminium wand with swivel neck like the one here in UK and that box looks well cheap for the cost of a premium product. Also wish it still didn't have all that bendy thin creaky plastic. Glad you like yours though.
I am happy that they are still making uprights but it would have been nice to have the swivel wand or the laser but it s what it is. As for bendy thin creepy plastic, I disagree. They may be flexible, but that is what keeps them from breaking. If it’s brittle okay if it breaks. I’ve personally never seen a newer (2011-2022) Dyson upright catastrophically break like I have seen the older Dysons. I’ve also not had a newer Dyson become creeky unlike some sharks. But overall I like this machine and I will be keeping it for my collection. But just a few things would have pushed it over the edge to amazing
@@DillonCleans Sorry but i disagree on the thin plastics. The amount I've seen broken at the back spine or cracked was not great and the cracks or breakages would happen at the bottom end of the spine. The thin creaky construction does not make them tough and durable like a SEBO for example, but allows Dyson to manufacture them as cheaply as possible.
@@lahonymanor2927 as long as you take care of the vacuum, it will last. And I have seen many Dysons even be abused and still hold up. I can tell you and sebo is definitely built better. But as someone who owns a sebo, I never use it. Its a very just meh vacuum to me and doesn’t outperform anything I have in specific tests. But it is a decent vacuum
@@DillonCleans Like I said. I've seen many Dysons broken and they have a reputation for being poor quality here in the UK. They don't get that reputation for nothing and if they were durable. It is a shame that America does not get the UK version of the Animal Ball 2 because you will then see how it should be and Dyson really reinforced the back plastic spine with thicker plastic and a nicer strong alluminium wand. It's how a premium vacuum should be made. No flexing when twisting the machine left and right. As for SEBO again I cannot agree on that, the Felix model is excellent, provides a deep down clean and is very well made and designed to last. But hey, we can't all agree on everything. I hope that Dyson launch the UK version of the Animal Ball 2 in the US as it really is so much better.
I was surprised to hear about this, and disappointed to see that it's mostly a pallet swap and a new cleaner head for the existing US Ball 2. They could have at least brought over the cool wand pivot.
I expected a bit more considering the old model came out I think 5 years ago now. I definitely wanted some new features such as the screen that’s in the v15 or even headlights or the new laser
According to Dyson online, 400 hours of life for the head and 300 hours of life for the motor on a very expensive vacuum? That's horrible. I've seen other cheaper vacuums before that last much longer than the new Dyson.
I saw that but if I’m being honest, I know that number is realistically a lot higher. It’s the same as the ball animal 2 and those have shown to be fairly durable and in fact I haven’t seen a motor on one of those blow up. So we will see how it progresses. But I know it will last longer
Depending on the usage, sure it could last longer. But as a former repair technician, I for sure have seen those Dysons fail. I mean not the Ball Animal 3 but basically almost every upgrade that I have seen from the DC41 all the way up to the Ball Animal at least. I can't remember if I have seen a Ball Animal 2 die or not but the Ball Animal 2 is pretty much almost the same design as the DC41 all the way up to the Ball Animal 2. But at least though, I definitely hadn't seen them fail as much as the Cinetic models. If only they had used a brushless motor like the DC22, they would've lasted longer for sure. The Panasonic motors they use just aren't meant to last for a very long time or even be repaired.
