Happy birthday, DA001! It's crazy how the DA001 is now 30 years old. Make sure you treasure and cherish this machine as they are extremely hard to find nowadays.
Phenomenal video like always 🤤😍I’ll definitely be watching this over and over again!!! sorry I’m a little late but congratulations on 7k sub you deserve it and so many more!! 🎉💜
Happy 30th Birthday to the DA001 - can you believe it's been 30 years since the first mass produced bagless vacuum by Dyson came out in 1993. Just to think how long ago that was, the Kirby G series (of which we see the G6 in your video) had only been out for about 2 years in the UK. The G series might have been given multiple facelifts over that time, but is essentially still based on the 1991 G3. Look how much Dysons have evolved since the very first model back in 1993. The DA001 does a great job there, and it sounds great too.
Time really flies! Feels like yesterday I seen everyone with a DC01 before the DC04s properly started becoming more common and the DA001 was less than 10 years old! As for that G6 I’ve modified recently - I’ve added a more powerful 700W motor, an Avalir emptor for better airflow and stiffer brushbar! Works like a dream, but it’s very noisy lol
@@parwaz7861 Yeah, Kirby has improved the G series quite substantially over the years from the G3 to the Avalir 2, but the great thing is because the basic unit has not really changed, you can retrofit newer parts on older machines, as you have done ny fitting a more modern emptor, and the stiff oblique brushroll. Hepa cloth bags help as well, but they were not available when the G series was launched - only paper bags were, and these themselves got replaced by Micron Magic bags, and later the synthetic bags. When you think what Dyson himself used back before he invented his cyclonic technology - a Hoover Junior with a single wall paper bag, its easy to see how his design would have run rings round a Junior - but bags have improved since the Hoover Junior, and even Kirby now use hi-tech hepa synthetic bags. Even witth your Kirby now having the 700W motor, it might be noisy, but I think the DC07 would still beat it for being loud, lol
Absolutely! Especially Miele bags with 9 layers of filtration I’ve never seen them lose efficiency before reaching maximum capacity. I could ever go back to using a single wall paper bag, would need to constantly keep an eye on the airflow! Kirbys are a bit like Numatic in a way where some parts are interchangeable in terms of their toolkits and filters mainly
Not really... Only to empty the Dyson when it got full. The Dyson handled itself quite well for a 30 year old machine with only 90 Airwatts of suction. Henry's only have around 83 Airwatts.
