I cannot thank you enough for posting this video. I am a 62 year old woman in the U.S. with familial tremors. It is pure comedy to watch me try to deal with a screw driver! Because of your video, I was able to take my dyson brush roll motor out of the clear roller cover and put it back without breaking anything, getting all the wires tucked in and when I plugged the vacuum in, it worked!!! I had a huge mess which the dyson sucked up in no time. Only, after it did the job, it was filthy and caked with .. I am not even sure. Cleaning the filters were easy but I was worried about the brush area. Your video is clear and concise and helped me get it done! THANK YOU!
Ive since sorted mine, bought replacement PCB as no voltage was coming out of it, put the pcb in connected it all up and the brush roller started to spin, then the motor was sparking like crazy,so now thats blown too, buying 2d hand full head and simply swapping over
@Manchester Vacs (Dyson & Sebo Specialists) Did you say 320 volts dc? is that right? I measured the output from the rectifier and it was flutuating from 5 volts to 135 volts and i thought the rectifier was faulty,i did not realise it needed 320 volts dc to move that motor. Do they just pack up like that work one minute and the next dont?
Hi interesting video, i have a dc25 on the bench with no power to brush bar connection, all leads seem ok switches work but not sure on the micro switch but there is continuity any help, the bush is ok and works in other machine
I switched my dyson dc 25 on this morning and it sparked and fizzed down at the brush bar motor,I suspect that my dog has peed on it as it was wet inside when I opened it up.on the circuit board I can see a scorch mark so does this mean I need a new board or a new motor please
