Thank you for the thorough details explained in this video! My brush head stopped spinning. I replaced the brush bar and end cap since they started falling apart, but that did not fix the issue. I was going to have a peek at the motor, and without your video, I would've never known about the two screws under the flicker strip! Once getting the head apart, I found a tremendous amount of dog hair, removed it, and the brush bar started spinning again!
Hello Mr Khaqan thank you for this video. With your calmness and patience tutoring, my old Dyson DC24 now has a new beater motor thanks to your video. You are an excellent teacher, and even an old grandma like me can fix things with a teacher such as you. God Bless.
The Best education is to learn from someone else's struggles. After Watching so many Dyson repair issues here on YT , I am totally convinced to buy a Sebo Auto X7 from Germany ! I am grateful for your patient teaching sir . All the best to you.
You don't need to remove the bearing, just the metal ring on the bearing was removed to clean the hair out. I don't know the part number, just looked up on the internet and it showed a site of UK which was selling old parts of Dyson. I ordered from there. I wish I had a better answer.
I looked up the internet for you and found this shop.manchestervacs.co.uk/dyson-upright-vacuum-cleaner-spares/dc24-spare-parts/dc24-brushroll-drive-cog-housing, please confirm and verify if this is what you need
Why didn't you just unscrew the different cog and replace it with the original cog instead of drilling the brush? (My brush head has exactly the same failure. It's crazy that all the torque must be transmitted through a tiny plastic axle. Awful design.)
Are you for real? These screws are torque head screws. The reason for using them is not to make it complicated for you but this type of screw is used for safety bell end!!!!
