This is exactly the video I was looking for. I was *really* hoping the fix didn't involve as much disassembly as I suspected it would need, though.

Well I am glad this is the exact video you need. Unfortunately you do have to remove a bunch of stuff to get to it. But its a fairly cheap part and could be worth the effort. Thanks for watching and commenting.

After you clipped in the red end of the hose, you said to rotate the body a little to line up the 4 screws that hold it in. You weren’t kidding. I think there’s a design flaw in the part. It is putting a twist on the hose and I’d imagine that’s why they fail so much. Thanks for the video. It helped a LOT!! I need all the help I can get since now I’m my wife’s vacuum repairman.

Awesome video. I had to replace a Panasonic motor a few times internal hoses and PCB as well on different vacuums for customers. As these vacuums get older the hoses break and the motor gets weak over time and the pre motor filter gets bad after many years of use. But they are worth it to repair and are fully rebuildable unlike other vacuums that use glue. Dyson is still a pretty impressive vacuum.

Yes, I agree vacuum that bolt stuff together vs glue is a better vacuum. Because at least you can repair it. I think we need to repair more things vs throwing it away and buying new. Now I understand why people do it because the cost of repair is close to or more then a new one. Thats something that should change. We create so much waste due to that. Anyways thats for watching and commenting! Have a great day and new year!

If you put the red clip on the power head first, you can then mount the head to the body by aligning the electrical connection and then pushing the head in until you hear it snap into place. Avoids snapping the clip. 😬
