Yes! Thank you for showing how to reset the indicator. Had to replace my filter with a generic because Dyson Canada seems to be permanently out of stock. Nice it was a lot cheaper too.
Should work for my small room. I saw another review that said you should take the filter out every couple of months and vacuum it off and it will last longer. I need the carbon filter for cooking smells and cologne from family members. Just purchased from Amazon for $70 off.
This is a fantastic review! I just got my fuchsia one on sale ($199) and I'm really happy with it--I do pair it with another air purifier for my bedroom however, and leave my BP01 near my work desk! It's beautiful to look at and does its job very well
Great video thank you i was able to reset mine after the light came up after 12 months of use, i did not change the filter just yet haven’t used it that much i just vacuum the actual cartridge and put it back in for another few months of use resetting is easy with the control love my dyson pure cool me personal purifier.
I think vacuuming the filter off will help extend the life. Eventually it will be too far gone, but it certainly buys time. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad it was helpful!
Vac Tech yes i have another to use but i dont use it 12 hours a day only 8 at night only vacuuming the cartridge will give you a few more moths of use that light is a factory setting you can definitely use it over 12 months if its only used in a bedroom.
Ive this model on order , i have 2 other air purifiers but the selling point for me of this unit is the power , portability & 360 degree intake of air . Ill let you know shortly how it goes..Cheers Kevin from Australia
Thank you for the best review so far I've seen for this product but I have a question: Is this pure cool me enough for a regular sized bedroom to be purified of pollutants or would you recommend the pure cool tower? I get really sick from city pollution... Thank you in advance if you help me!!
I use mine in a regular sized bedroom, and it does a good job. However if you're really concerned, the tower models appear to be more powerful. You'll likely be happy with either!
Mine with only a month use has this distinct smell that is quite unpleasant, which is different from how the room smells but will stink up the room once I turn it on. Do you know what is the problem with it and how to clean?
needs a filter change! thats the "bad" side to carbon filters. They absorb alot of smell, but once they are used up they actually start becoming the source of the smell. Its normal, just change the filter!
Nice review. I have replaced the filter in my Dyson TP02 which purifies only my 15sqm bedroom air after 10 months...way before it suggested me in the app. The exhausted air was not smelling good. It smelled like dust smells from the vacuum cleaner exhaust. It was black when I dumped it. Also, the carbon layer has stopped working after around 3 months. Big flap. I'm disappointed. I got new filter, but not oem. It does not clean the air as good as the oem (especially scents), but is.. 7x cheaper. That's sick how much they want for the oem filter.
I do wish the superior genuine filters were more affordable. The replacement filter I got for my Pure Cool Me doesn't have the layer of carbon like the genuine one, but so far it's working and trapping dust like I expect it to.
This is a great self help instruction. After I changed my filter to a new one, the change filter warning light does not go off. I've unplugged it and it immediately shows the warning again. How can I reset this warning light? Any ideas? I've even changed the battery on my remote.
You turn it on, then hold the power button on the remote down for 5 seconds. A checkmark will appear, to let you know its reset the filter life indicator. I hope this helps! If it doesn't work, contact Dyson customer service.
Hi, nie video. I wonder how does the purifier knows when it is time to replace the filter? Is it time based or results based? i.e. does it know how dirty the filter get? How does the performance of the generic filter compare to Dyson genuine filter?
Is your dyson pure cool me quiet as well when you let him Rotate. I have mine now for a year and it Kind If anonoys me, that on Level 2 its Perfect for sleep But when you also Turn on the Rotation , there is always a brrrmmmm, then stops and brrrmmm Sound again (sorry didnt Know How to put that haha) is this normal with that machine? Because I read some Reviews where they say its completely silent on the low levels. Would Love to Hear from you. Always bugged me a Little, that i never Knew whether thats just my machine or in General :)
Thanks for this video. With the generic filter, do you find the inside of the purifier always clean or are particles passed through? Have you noticed another difference?
It's still clean on the inside where it's pushing the air through. This filter has less surface area though, so I would still check it (vacuum it off) and replace it more often.
Hello! How do you pick up the new generic filter from the fan since it doesn't have the black flaps to lift it up? I'm planning to get this fan soon, and lucky to have bumped on to your video.
When you put your hand on the dome to change air flow are you using any pressure downwards. My cool me is completely open at the top area how do i get it to open a little at the bottom area,
Just received my Dyson HP02 earlier today. Just figuring things out with it, but I can’t seem to figure out how to change the AC temperature. I can only change the heater to 33-99 degrees. Is that how I change the cooling temp to?
I would say it's gentler than a regular bladed fan. Dyson has the edge over a regular fan in terms of quietness, nice features, and that it's a HEPA air purifier.
I would make sure it's plugged in at both the fan base, and the wall outlet. Other than that, I would contact Dyson, as it will still be under the 2 year warranty. I hope this helps!
@@jonhawkins2374 so theres a new filter in it, the motor is running, but no air is coming out? Is the filter wrapped in plastic on the inside or something?
No. You can vacuum it off occasionally, to extend its life. Washable filters are very uncommon on air purifiers. You can get generic filters for this model pretty cheap.
I can't see the 2 little tabs (for pulling it out) on the new one(filter)... Why? ※I've got it sorry, this one was not made by Dyson... But how do you pull it out without two little tabs?
