I've been commuting daily on the DYU D3F Folding E-Bike shrsl.com/3gfse for over half a year now. In this video, I'll go over some of the D3F's main features and my recommended upgrades to make this amazingly fun and enjoyable folding electric bike even better for riding.
I can honestly tell you that after riding this electric folding bike, I have decided to sell my (amazingly fun) Dahon Mu SL, which I used previously for bike commuting in NYC. That's how good this DYU D3F is for bike commuting (as long as your one-way travel distance is less than 15 miles, and you got 6 hr during your work to fully charge your bike for another 15-mile run)

Excellent review! Keep up the great work! Happy ebiking! Personally I, have a Jetson Bolt Pro, which is, almost identical, to this mini ebike! LOVE IT! You simply will not find a better deal on any ebike anywhere, than these, little mini ebikes! They are going to sell tens of thousands of these things! Once they really start becoming popular!

BTW: I’ve already done a couple hundred hours of research on the Jetson Bolt Pro! There is a huge cult following for that little mini ebike! And there are literally dozens if not hundreds of RU-vid videos on it! Of which I watched pretty much every single one of them several times over! I’ve also added a ton of mods to mine, which, have added up to, far more, than the value and cost of the Jetson itself! I, can hardly wait until spring and summer, really get here in, Manitoba, Canada, so I can cruise around on this thing all day long! Also, I, bought and installed, a second external battery! A 14 amp hour, frog style design! Should get an extra 20 to 30 miles, throttle only, with that battery! Plus, combined, with the stock battery, I, should get, anywhere between 30 and 40 miles, throttle only! Or, 40 - 60 miles, pedal assist!

I too recently bought the Jetson Bolt Pro and have been riding it stock to the LRT station (15 min ride) and I take it on the train! When I get to my destination I get off and ride the bike about 10 mins to my workplace. I also use it to run errands around my area of town. The only mod I have done is replace the seat with a nice wide comfy one by Raleigh. I am in Ontario and the weather had been lousy but I have managed to take it out a few times and I love it! Great review! I've been looking at this little one for commuting, but I might have to go with the scooter version, since in Sweden it needs to be registred as a moped since it uses both pedal assist AND has a throttle. Gotta say, as well, that what you did at 2:00 hurt my Scandinavian heart a bit - I don't know how the traffic laws are in your country, but not stopping at a stop sign is a traffic offence that could cost you your driver's licence (even if you're on a bike, since that's still a vecihle).

Great review thanks. Dr quick conversion from pounds to kg turns out I am exactly the same weight as you. I'm also tall with a 32" inseam so the info about the short seat post is definitely something I need to look into.

@@TheGizmoGarage thank you, after costing and comparing bikes and the additional cist if a seat post extender, I decided to go with a different low budget bike in the end, but my neighbour bought the little DYU and us very happy with it.

The seat came from factory, it's just a cheap seat with lots of foam so it absorbs vibration

Thank you. For commuting on a sidewalk multi-use path, nope, the default max speed is actually perfect for me because there are many blind spots on the sidewalk that I ride on, faster will certainly cause an accident of some sort.

Myself, I will eventually be applying a speed mod to it, I’m considering putting in a brand new controller in it, which has, an LCD panel display that I can make over 20 adjustments, to the bike speed and pedal assist areas, themselves! But I will not be making this upgrade, until it’s the last thing that I want to do! There are many RU-vid videos on this ebike, and there are many forms of instructions on how to do different things to the bike, such as repairing everything yourself, changing flat tires, adding folding pedals installing a new twist or thumb throttle, additional battery upgrades, etc. etc., including speed upgrades and controller upgrades! Check them out they’re very helpful! I, did my battery upgrade, by watching one of these RU-vid videos, on battery upgrades! I ordered a FrogStyle ebike battery, 14 amp hours and it’s on my bikes seat post, and I’m very happy with it and it has an ignition key start! Be sure to check out Shiva Sapkota’s, DAD’s, TDR Drones and ebikes, and Joe’s Fab Lab, RU-vid videos when doing a RU-vid search on the Jetson bolt pro! Dad‘s Videos number in the range of over 200 videos on Jetson bboltpros the Jetson bolt the first type of small mini ebike made by Jetson, and he has made several other videos on other mini ebikes as well! This man is obsessed with making RU-vid videos on Jetsons! His stuff is very good!
