The Sonic series in general have some of the best robots out there, and the E-100s are a great example of that. Honestly, I'd love it if we'd get more series of robots/badniks in the same spirit as them in the future. Wonderful overview of them, well done ^^
I like to imagine E-123 Omega is just Gamma Robotnik somehow salvaged Gamma's remains and kept its data and erased its memories Which would explain why Omega would easily betray Robotnik so quickly, yet wouldnt know why it did.
i do like this as it also makes omegas motivation a bit less stupid, originally he just turned traitor for feeling he was wasted, but with a influence from Gamma, suddenly the fact that wasted potential was specifically in keeping an animal locked up, even if Omega doesn't remember why this pisses him off its still something that would claw at him though personally is see them as a sort of robotic reincarnation, sort of like Aang and Korra, their still distinct people even if Gamma lives on in Omega in spirit
5:44 I like to think the bird is gamma’s bird since the bond amy formed with gamma must have been permanent I just thought maybe it’s the same name for both birds
If I remember correctly, in Archie, after Omega is defeated by Eclipse and Rouge gets a call from Shadow, she tells him Omega's conserving power after Eclipse tore out his Chaos Drive, the same thing that powers GUN robots in Adventure 2. So whether this is a modification from GUN after joining them, or a resource Eggman now uses, it stands to reason Omega is powered by a Chaos Drive.
5:00 I think the reason why it ended so abruptly, was because of the writers experience making this adaptation. Sega didn’t give them a way to view the English version of SA1’s story when they were told to make an adaptation. So they had to go out of their way and get a Japanese copy. (Since SA1 came out a year prior in Japan before America’s release) They had to rush through and understand as much of the story they could. (A lot of them couldn’t understand Japanese, if not, all of them couldn’t) and they were getting really close to the deadline if I remember correctly. So Gamma’s story ending so abruptly was probably because the writers didn’t have enough time to work on it.
I think the correct pronunciation for Emerl is “Em-murl”. And the same goes for Gemerl but add a G. Side note, to add some confusion. Gemerl also has another spelling being G-merl. Aside from a card matching game and whatever the source is for the name on the Fandom Wiki is, I don’t know why it exists.
Yeah, I suppose I could have put her in her - though since I just covered her in the last Lore Compilation - I wouldn't have wanted to reuse that Tik Tok so soon.
Technically, those fall outside of the E-100 line and the core trait of being named after greek letters. The only reason E-1000 made the cut is because its very clearly based on Gamma.
Now lets go over E-100 series bots which theoriticly exist, but we still haven't seen them: E-111 Mu, E-112 Nu, E-114 Omicron, E-115 Pi, E-116 Rho, E-119 Upsilon, E-120 Phi, E-122 Psi I hope we get to see these robots soon Also why is E-121 titled Phi, when Phi is obviously the 20th letter of the greek alphabet. That is very annoying. It shoud be E-121 Chi, and I refuse to call him Phi. (Most of the fannart for the above mentioned robots exist btw)
