I love this era of the Venom comics in the 90s. It's silly and campey in the best way and I love how it influence the Venom movies later on as well. I enjoy things that have this odd charm to them, because we need more stuff like this when the world can feel cynical at times.

What most people didn’t get about the venom movies because they never heard of the lethal protector comics. This was venom’s personality in that series and they did good emulating that type of humor in the movies.

I've been a fan of Venom since his creation,and I totally get and understand that Venom could be goofy. But I really love him as a more serious and intimidating villain. While both feature films were fun,I feel they made the character a bit too silly.

This why i love Spider-man 3s Venom,he is not silly or goofy but rather a terrifying monster.Venom is just better when he is a villain imo.

Venom is actually two separate beings Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote that once masqueraded as Spider-Man’s costume

Well there is a symbiote and Eddie. Together they are Venom. Separate neither are Venom.

The reason why venom was so silly in the comics was because they try to make it appropriate for kids. Little Did they know it was OK for venom to be dark and scary. They did in the 90s cartoon, they did spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Man unlimited, ultimate Spider-Man.

I just got back into comics and always loved venom, idk why i never got into his comics. Just grabbed a lot of these first 6 issues in brand new condition for 60 bucks. If you really hunt these issues are still very obtainable for short money.
