Man. I am so glad I came across your podcast. I own a 2006 Lexus is250 and the recirculation damper servo didn't work. I tried opening the servo, testing the resistance between different contacts, but everything checked out fine so I was absolutely clueless to what the issue could be, since the temp blend door servos connected to the same wiring harness were perfectly fine. Never had it occured to me that there actually are mini PCBs inside the connectors! I disconnected the connector from the wires and opened it up, and sure enough, the board had corroded and one of the pins connecting the PCB to the 3 wires had completely come off the PCB! I took the PCB out, cleaned it up, resoldered the pin to the board and all is well now! The damper is working perfectly. So I can't thank you enough, this probably saved me hundreds of euros on a repair at the dealer
I really enjoy the podcast it's my new go to for the ride to and from work. Wish I had found it sooner cause now I got a lot of catching up to do. You do a great job describing the issue, diagnostic process, and the fix.
My Hilux Revo found B1497 , but I replace new servo motor for mode,air mix , air inlet still the same result. And cannot initial and active test by Global Techstream
Hey, I’m like going crazy because I have a 2013 Highlander! I am experiencing the same exact problem but different locations, plus my temperature only come out hot on passenger and cold on driver! I first replaced the amplifier then the actuator on the drivers side (because it was easy to get to) Nothing! I’m glad I finally found this podcast because ripping out the passenger side is not fun! My mechanic and I decided that we should probably start back probing the wires and Boy are you right? There is no back probing. I am curious as to whether the whole wiring harness was replaced or if you were able to replace these connector pins areas? I see someone else had left that comment as well. Anyways, great job and thank you for leaving this video. I truly would’ve had to rip my dashboard up and I not found this.
