In its day this was a great looking CB radio featuring a chrome case, knobs, dials on a black front panel. This 1960's radio worked via 10 vacuum tubes/valves which was enough to keep you warm in winter :) especially the 6BQ5/EL84 tube....man do they run hot!
As can be seen this radio is a little rough but still firing!

I have a courier 1m...when you use the 3 settable preset frequencys ...you get the best filtering on the recieve of any cb radio ever made!

the way the rx works.. the IF filtering is the same with presets, or the variable main tuning. It is Tripple Conversion RX...so it is a Damn Good Reciever. I have mine on `10 Meter ham band.

Triple conversion receiver - tuneable or 4 adjustable pre-sets. RF gain control, excellent squelch and noise limiter, S-meter and Relative Power output ( switchable) Spot Switch. Electronic ( diode) switching.. no relays. Requires the type of microphone shown. 12vdc or 110vac. 6EM7 final 12by7 driver ( 3rd overtone crystals) earlier version uses 6-7 mc xtals. 6BQ5 modulator audio output, mic amp is 12AX7 or hifi version. This radio hums.. indicating it needs fresh electrolytic caps in power supply and audio section. Low noise nuvistor mixer and frame grid RF Amplifer ( receiver). Excellent radio. I put mine on 10M AM 29 Mc. M version is mechanically redesigned to move audio section away from hum producing sections of the radio. Modular sub chassis installed on main chassis .. which is its one weakness. Link tuned output ( not Pi-Net) Heising Modulation... not Push Pull.. still has wonderful transmit audio.. but adjust loading for best modulation.. not max carrier. 3.5 to 4 watts carrier output. Only better radios have push pull modulation.. and very very few have a better receiver. 10.7 and 262 kc IF...

Wow nice unit. Could you do a more detailed look at the radio, maybe close ups of the controls, ect?

Re- cap the radio and it wont run particularly warm.. but cram an 8 watt audio tube in a small envelope and it will get hot.

Hi, Any idea what the market value is for one of these? thanks
@TubesValves

+SuperJV4x Hi, Value wise depends on condition and who wants it? I would guess a working set would fetch around $100-$150.00.
