Johnny J doesnt get the respect he deserves. Rest In Peace. Being mexican/ American or chicano its my duty to lace pac fans up on how he helped pac make his biggest hits.
I’m still so disappointed in that “All Eyez On Me” movie. It was so basic. It was like generic bullet points of Tupac’s life from Wikipedia rather than a deep story of a complex individual/icon. It wasn’t even close to the level of other biopics. Ray, Malcom X, Selena, Bohemian Rhapsody, Ali, Straight Outta Compton, etc... It supposedly had a $40 million budget but it looked so low budget.
Why you by the window wats wrong daddy!! My favorite Johnny J/2pac track since the first time i herd it at 15..im bouta be 41 in a cpl days RIP Johnny &PAC
I remember as a kid reading the notes in the album and seeing Johnny J on each song and wondering who that was (I'm in Australia with dial up: early days internet).
@@dgrdaz2332 really? Then u haven't read alot my friend. That's why the narrative keeps changing in music. From, peace & love, to fight the power & educate oneself, to now trap drug dealing and getting high. Read on it ahk.
Not a 100% - by Thug Life, MAWT ... he started paying attention differently. Check "Thug Angel" where Shock G broke this down. The music had to fit the emotion of the lyrics, and you Clearly hear that on MATW
Vlad can never feel the conscious, pain and struggle lyrics that had a intellect message to the song. That's why he always hating on Nas over beats and don't listen to the actual lyrics to a song
Everybody was a tough guy for no reason. Yall lucky because the kendricks, coles and drakes actually created a lane where u did not have to be the tough guy. Yall can thank kayne west for that
@Wayne Green that nigga greenlighted him. Ain't no way he killed himself but jumping off, or falling off if he had 2 months, and 2 million owed to him. Hell nah, that's fucked up. R.i.p. he was one of my favorite producers, he killed "check out time"
Johnny J should have WAY more recognition than he does. He produced so many tracks for the "All Eyez on Me" album. Tracks like All about U, Thug Passion, How Do U Want It, Shorty wanna be a Thug, Check Out Time, Run The Streetz, Picture Me Rollin. He also did Never Had a Friend Like Me, Pour out a little Liquor. And also did Bizzy Bones When Thugs Cry. Very underrated but peep game and recognize! He had that perfect sound for the 90's. R.I.P. 🇲🇽
Fa real. I can kinda relate, being the only one of my former circle that’s not dead or in prison. Two were killed and two got life in prison on separate crimes. Since I managed to do only three years on a case back in the 90’s, I’m the only one around today that knows our story firsthand, as opposed to all the clowns spreading secondhand rumors for attention. I know what EDI feels on that note 🤷🏾♂️
I was lucky enough to see PAC perform. Just take a few seconds to think about what he achieved at such a young age and now think what he would have achieved if he was still around.
The irony of Vlad pretending to understand that 2pac didn’t care about beats his message was more important. Meanwhile continues to bash Nas for beat picking as if he doesn’t have messages in his music..
There was no better combination than the 2pac/Johnny J combination. Just like the DMX and Swizz Beatz combination. Like a hand in a glove it was the perfect fit.
Unbelievable 🤦♂️ the greatest diss track of all time 🙌 down. Edi the last one left😪 it's so crazy sad but at the same time Edi your a living legend in my book.
2pacaypse Now to me is the best album with a message and was so underrated. Trapped is a dope track, If my homie calls is a banger, Soulja Story and the list goes on..
You don't have to be black to understand that song. Whites and Mexicans in the hood are treated the same as blacks. It's not a racial issue in this country. It's a money class issue. If you are poor you will be oppressed. Skin color isn't the reason.. Television programming has you programmed to believe otherwise and in turn has made you a racist.
Rusty Shackleford A wealthy black man is not equal to a white man in a trailer park. What you are doing is trying to convince me racism doesn’t exist that doesn’t work with me sorry
@@crenshawveteran9443 I used to think just like you. Then one day I decided to speak proper English pick my pants up and quit committing crimes. Haven't had a problem since. If you carry yourself with respect you will get respect regardless of melanin.
Rusty Shackleford And the hook on 2 pac’s song Trapped was “ You can’t keep the black man down”. So yes it was written for BLACK men. If any other race adopted it coo but it was FUBU for us by us💯
@@crenshawveteran9443 that's not the point. The point is all people are being oppressed based on economic standings not skin color. There is only one race, the human race. all that racism crap does nothing for me. Stay up
Funny how he says Trapped was ehhh...... That's how you know he didn't get it..or gets the struggle....that was the one that got me as a kid growing up..."You know they got me trapped in this prison of seclusion / Happiness, living on the streets is a delusion" -RIP Pac
Daz Dillinger and Johnny J are two of the most underrated producers to date. Daz and Johnny J produced more bangers off All Eyez On Me then Dr. Dre did.
I worked on Pac's memorial in Atlanta under Gobi and Tracy and it had the darkest saddest feeling. Yaki had gotten shot in the head a day before so everyone was all tripped out. The whole time I was there I was praying non stop.
Omg, that statement is true... Huge fan since 1996, it was a whole other story then... Tupac + Outlawz changed my life for sure. Appreciate Vlad's perspective on that first 2Pacalypse Now album, let's all keep it real on where we were
i got the album but in all honesty it really wasn't that good theres a few standout tracks but its definitely his weakest work and not an album i would consider classic
How has vlad not interviewed ray luv ... pacs first rap group ever was strictly dope with ray luv ray is dating pacs sister and ray was instrumental in Mac dres early career on young black brotha records and he has a classic album forever hustling
E.D.I: That's why i really don't like to do a lot of interviews, because they turn out to be, you know...more Pac leaning. Glad: So...what was Tupac's favorite food ?
You gotta love the Outlaws if you are a real Pac fan ... I got hella love and respect for them ✊🏾 we may not have Pac here in the flesh but we at least we have some of that thug life offspring!!! Rip Pac Makaveli Hussein Fatal Yaki Kadafi & Big Syke 🤲🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
Nice hearing from E.D.I. Mean. You guys really made music especially the unbeatable hip cultural foundations. May the Soul of all the fallen Outlawz rest in perfect peace. Y'all made me stay westside for life🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟. Much love men 🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩.
Trapped was the first single, nobody paid attention until after Juice came out, and Bishop flashed across that screen, after the movie dropped and was a success that's when he dropped Brenda's got a baby, that album went platinum based off of that, next up was I get around, which instantly went platinum, all the ladies was fucking with pac and everything after that was platinum plus, set aside from staying in the news with all the court cases, robberies, and set ups..Dude was the coldest to ever do this rap shit Glad...Pac was a man's man💯 Legendary figure...-Trusno🖤
When My Homies Call was on the 1st album, one of the greatest SONGS EVER, cant forget Violent either. If niggas stop talkin & listenin to what everybody else say & go back & listen carefully to Pac, they will realize aint no way in HELL ANYBODY CAN EVER FUCK WITH HIM, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Just to think edi and the outlawz was front line soldiers for pac they were the true definition of loyal friends may pac and all the other outlawz that passed on rest in peace 🙏
