Thank you for the video. I just graduated from my 120 SR to the MCXP. The dealer at the local hobby shop bound my dx61 and I am not happy with the late response from the throttle. Also, when I take of it wants to shoot forward for some reason. I was really good with my 120 but my confidence with this is starting to dwindle.
I have the DSMX version of DX6i Mode 1 and my bind/trainer switch is on the top right hand side. In order to bind my mCPX V2 I also had to hold the rudder stick to the right during the bind process.
*ATTENTION* Just spent the better part of a day trying to figure out why the motors won't spin up after binding even though all the servos are moving. Tried everything except reading my mCPX manual *facepalm* Don't hold the bind switch for more than 3 seconds or it will eventually bind but the motors won't turn. AND after you release the switch and it binds HOLD THE RUDDER SWITCH FULL RIGHT for a few seconds until the blue LED goes solid. A good lesson. Always RTFM (Read The F'n Manual). *Doh!* Also I had some trouble binding it if the transmitter was too close to the heli. If yours won't bind try standing a couple of meters away.
Thank you for posting this! This is the first time I've tried to use a bind and fly system. Where on the transmitter is the bind button? Why does it seem as though your radios sticks are is backwards from mine?
@Trainboy64 I'm pretty sure I commented apologizing because you're Mode 1 and I'm Mode 2. Also stated I'm a rotorcraft CFI/CFII, therefore I know the physics behind rotary flight and proper terms.
Hi Rob: Question.... i have 2 helis , one RTF and the other BNF what if when i bind the BNF it to the dx4 ( RTF ) radio , when i hit the bind button the swashplate goes up and down ,i think it means it it in comp. radio mode, how do i switch it to a non comp. radio ? like the dx4 and my RTF heli does not spin the rotor head and the tail rotor, i sent the board to be check and they said it is in good working condition, what is your sugestion ? thanks so much !!
