@tink0027 you are correct on two points, yes the extra parts are to turn the left stick to a ratchet style stick., and the other point being that yes I am new to the hobby and understand it is expensive. I am really glad I can bring you such enjoyment because apparently you don't get enough.........enjoyment.
Thanks for this video. I also have the 120SR and mSRX and I just got my DX6i today soI found this to be helpful. I see some of the comments say to set up in ACRO, but I don't understand why I should do that.
I've got a 120sr that I use to chip paint off of the walls in my apartment and an old Raptor 30 V2 for when I just need to break up some asphalt... I swear I'm gonna get better at not crashing... one of these days... :) Goin to pick up a Dx6i tomorrow morning, was curious about binding it for a quick test, so thanks!
@boobtube1974, the DX6i does help a lot. I set up duel rates at 60% and 35% expo on the rudder and it calms it down quite a bit and used sub trims on the rudder to keep the nose pointed straight on. I don't know if I like numbing the stick so much with the expo but I am still learning and still experimenting. Thanks for the info on the CNC parts, I am going to take a look at it.
@SuperRocktron, I never really had issues with Blades out of the box, but do agree that some models do get damaged really quick after the first couple of crashes. SOrry to hear you have had a bad experience with them. I have since moved up to the Blade MCPX and the Blade 450x and they had been pretty good as far as repairs. The MCPX Iis always on my bench getting fixed as I try to learn tricks, the 450x is a solid Heli, stable, and fun to fly width zero crashes and zero need for repairs. Keep
@ deliafranco, you are correct, the manual does say to bind in ACRO or AIRPLANE, but it does not explain why. Once I get my replacement parts in I will have to check it out unless someone smarter then me already knows the answer. Thanks for the comment.
Lol. I enjoyed the vid. Noobies should make videos and mistakes. It's all about the learning curve and helping each other. Bitching about ones mistakes DOES not. My dx6i should be in near end of April. I learned on a 2801 pro from Walkera and the dx6i is way easier, albeit simplified. Since I'm done with Walkera (stay away) I'm looking forward to binding and flying my blade helis. Thanks friend.
Hey nice video and choice in helis! I too am a noob to this but am really getting HOOKED! I am only using the stock transmitter for now until I get the cash to grab a DX6i. The mSRx is pretty tough to fly for a noob without a programmable radio and some expo. Please let me know if it helps you much with the DX6i. Also, I bought the micro heli cnc rotorhead and aluminum blade grips for the mSR and stuck them on my mSRx. Bolt right up and work perfect! No more broken parts. Good luck!
All helis will sway left on take off as it battles ground effect, once you get a couple of inches off the ground it will be clear of this effect and you should be in a hover. I would have to see you fly to tell you what you mean by "takes off in that direction". Remember, even with the AS3X technology these helis don't fly themselves and still need constant input from you to remain stable.
I don't know too much about the evolve, but I know it comes in a receiver ready version so u should have no problem putting a spectrum receiver into it. If you bought the RTF version I assume you can switch out receivers to make it compatible with the DX6i
Great video thanks a bunch. Got my transmitter ordered. I have the 120 sr, the blade Sr, and the evolve 300 cx. Not sure if the evolve will work with this. Any ideas??
The 120 SR is terrible for flying outside unless there is absolutely no wind, so I would not suggest it. If you are doing well with the MSRX, and want something to fly outside, I would go collective pitch and the MCPX.
When I take on the ground with thMSRX it instantly sways of to the left? Any ideas? Also when I get it hovering and try to turn the nose around so that its pointing to the left or right it takes of in that direction? Paul
Hey dude I have dx8 and blade 120 sr can u help me setup setting on 120sr to make it fly nice and slow I don't know nothing about curve and thottle stuff thinks reply back a easy set of setting I can use
I just got the turnigy 9X a month ago and it's a third of the price and it has 9 channels and it has a 7 model memory but mine has 10 for some reason...
I was enjoying the video intil, the wife got mentioned. I was about to give you likes. 😢 sorry you have a wife who you have2 worry about... let this toys for the ones who don't care about the wife's opinions.. they must like you and love you as you are..if not..then it's not fun.. good bye sir.
awesome man msrx is hard to fly man mine hit houses seems like that lil fkker does what ever it wants but sounds crazy but silicone on all lil like a coating make it like rubber like try it buddy
unboxing in the video is just a waste of time. If someone is not smart enough to unbox their equipment, perhaps they should reconsider flying RC helicopters.
