Thank you! Check out my new channel "Tail Heavy Productions" and look for our newest take on this type of flying video: "E-Flite Turbo Timber Evolution 3D & Bush Flying Demo". We'll also be releasing our new tailwheel landings video tomorrow, stay tuned!
This is amazing! Unfortunately I just crashed my Maule and going true repairs. Want to try the 12x8 prop. Did the original eflite spinner fit with the 12x8?
I’m looking at either this or the valiant for my next plane. This seems like the way to go. It’s a bigger plane and comes with floats as well as runs 4s batteries ..... I think this is the one.
Valiant has the look of a classic/traditional 2 stroke glow bandit, the Maule has the serious Bush plane look .. tough call. I'd say go Maule if you want a scale bird w/surplus power & nice wide stance on wheels(would make bigger wheels easy retrofit, wouldn't get too tipsy) The Valiant can be set up for 4s too...
what prop are you using? looks like an APC 12x8..I dont get very long flight times with my Maule, Ive even upgraded to a 60 amp esc and propdrive 1000kv motor..with an 11x7 master air...3000 4s...it screams now.
Nice flying! I just picked up a Maule this past weekend and have flown it three times...but it has abysmal flight times with the battery that was sold with it (3S 1800mah). What type of flight time do you get with a 4S 2200mah? And can you tell what prop you went with? You described that it *did have* a 12x8, but I didn't see it mentioned what you opted for instead. Thanks!
Yes that Maule is a sweet flyer I have one that still flies almost as good as new after I glued it back together about five times foam is kind of cheap
Anyone know what the material for the prop is like? Is it flexible or hard? I used to have a plane with a hard prop and I flew it 3 times. 2 of those times, the prop hit the ground the slightest bit and broke the crankshaft
I'm not sure I have a good answer to that other than just repetition haha. You can hover anything that has the power to weight and control surfaces on the tail that are big enough. Don't need the ailerons.
So this thing would def6be capable on stock prop then also? I know u prob couldnt hover it but that is badass! How fast would u say it is on 4s ? 60? 70?
Hello! Beautiful flying. I saw in the description you said you maxed out mechanical throws on servo and arms, but I looks like you have even more elevator throw than stock will allow. Did you do any mods to the elevator?
In engineering, wing loading is the total weight of an aircraft divided by the area of its wing. The stalling speed of an aircraft in straight, level flight is partly determined by its wing loading. I'm studying engineering.
Aaah yes ..RC airplane community has long been the experts in low speed aerodynamics since the invention of the control-line kite, the beginning of many an engineer, test pilot, astronaut (ie. Neil Armstrong, etc.) .. "..SCREW THE KRAKEN- RELEASE THE ENGINEERS!!!" 🤣👍
@@mrk8212 Ah you meant "flap/elevator" mix, got it. I don't have this plane anymore but I just do it while flying. I set the radio to the flap mix screen, select which flap setting I want to mix, and then fly it with that flap set and adjust on the fly. Sorry I can't give you a specific number but most all planes are different based on CG/pilot preference on speed to fly with flaps/etc.
Hey I have another question for you man so I just picked up a 12x8 should be here soon but I wanted to know did you have to change the prop adapter also what spinner did you use
