A fast plane for sure. I like the colors of the airplane as they stand out really well. The AS3X technology gives you added assistance when flying the plane also.
I flew the plane in the video with a comparable E-Flite battery except that I was using a 30C battery. The local hobby shop got the plane in, but did not get the recommended 50C battery yet. I will test it again when the 50C battery comes in and will more than likely hit that 100+ mph mark.
You can purchase this plane online from Horizon Hobby either in a PNP or BNF version. I went with the BNF model and here is the link for that.

Nice review - as always! I also got it and it's just a blast! I have it equipped with telemetry and a GPS sensor that will indicate speed and it turned out to go to 192km/h after a steep dive. I admit that I had some tailwind, but not a lot so the real airspeed must have been somewhere between 180 and 185km/h equaling about 113mph - what a great bird!! I do fly a 45C battery though (I got an onboard video on my channel by the way)

I've been waiting for this bad boy to come out Eric and i'm glad you did a great review on it,the only problem with the AS3X technology is when the wind is blowing the plane will fly out of your hand,OJ ;-) I've got the little HK funfighter Rare Bear which is a bit smaller than this one and can fly with 3s or 4s battery and that one can get up to the 100hmp mark too,if or should i say when i get this one i'll have the FF 's bigger brother. :-) Thumbs up.

rcoconut I've heard two stories on expo and the AS3X technology. 1- you can add it if you want to. 2 - you don't need expo because of the AS3X technology. I added some expo to my setup though.

I don't quite understand why they say u don't need expo. As3x just helps out with balancing the plane it has nothing to do with stick sensitivity. Or am i wrong?

Are you able to fly this by yourself seems like every video I have seen of this someone else is hand launching these things. I have had a few P-51's park flyers which were very difficult to hand launch either torqued over or stalled.

Beware you will destroy both your battery and ESC without the proper "C" Discharge rating!. That is why they recommend a 50c. It is your plane and your choice but I am just letting you know!

I have had three crashes where the RB torque rolls into the ground. Yours did not torque roll at all. Is 100% throttle too much for launching?

Around 70% on the throttle and a good toss will get you going.

+jerry zito I have one of these but haven't flown it yet I really hate hand launching short wing planes unless it's a ducted fan. I usually fly alone and every video I have watched on this plane the pilot is not hand launching the plane someone else is lot of them roll over last second the pilot is able to recover.

Thanks. I finally figured that out. I launch between 60 and 70%. I still get some left wing dip, but it's easily managed.
