You really should do a reaction to the supplementary short video for Tales of Jenni and Screech that Ren produced that can be found on Renmakesmusic YT Channel - ‘Ren - Screech’s Tale Instagram Stories’ it gives a bit more of a back story to Screech and his behaviour, a showcases Ren’s drama and acting capacity
This was fantastic. I never heard it called pretty before in such a dark setting😂 but the way she described the meaning of pretty for this is right on the nail. That’s wild. I’m definitely down for her to come back when she can!
Ren has a version on his channel where he performs the whole 3 in a row in front of a live audience. So talk about remembering it all... 🤯 And he can't do another take in case one doesn't go to "spec". Absolutely amazing in my opinion.
Are we really at the point where someone not forgetting their own lyrics is amazing? I mean, Ren does a lot of amazing things but I don't see how not forgetting how to play and sing songs that he's written is one of them.
@@robert_39e Except artists do it all the time in concerts and "change" things, but it's often because they make a mistake. Even Ren does it in the spoken part at the end of his live performance of Hi-Ren. But you can try it for yourself. Write something about as long, doesn't have to be a song. Make it reasonably intricate and then see how many practice runs it takes you to remember it all word for word without missing a beat, after a while I'm sure you can do it, mostly without mistakes. Now try to have a catalog as big as Ren's plus the covers he can do and, etc, etc and know it all by heart with out review it before the performance, etc etc... it gets complicated real fast! And of course he rehearses and reviews it before the performance, he's incredibly talented, NOT super-human.
@@robert_39eI have memory loss issues due to brain injury. Ren also has that issue, plus more, due to much more complicated health problems than I have. I have literally forgotten the spelling I chose for one of my kid's middle names and had to go look it up on the birth certificate.😕 Maybe it isn't super impressive to remember lyrics when you're not battling neurological issues. But maybe it is, when you are.

BP, I love your reactions. Your personality and commentary always make them so enjoyable to watch. I also love and appreciate the fact that you are spreading Ren's music, perhaps more than any other reactor, by sharing it with so many guests on your channel. Why are people complaining about censoring the swear words? RU-vid flags videos for swearing all the time, tonnes of reactors sensor words and images from their videos so it doesn’t get flagged. If the video gets flagged then the time recording and editing the video is pretty much wasted, and they have to go back and re-edit the thing to try and get it back up again, which can be a back and forth process. It’s one of the reasons you will see “re-upload” on a bunch of videos as it’s either been flagged for copyright, or bad language/images. I’d rather get to see a censored reaction than not get to see it at all cause RU-vid flags it.

To me the key to the story is not that he says "To set the scene we must rewind the hands of time for Violet's tale.". That's just for violets tale, since he rewinded with the guitar to the point how she even got in the hospital and after the beating he even does a forward sound with the guitar. Back to the hospital. So this is closed circle in my opinion. To me it is in Screetch's tale and in violets. In screetch's tale at the end he sings: "Two bodys lay lifeless one street apart." and in Violets tale he sings "A tragedy or a miracle, it happened on these very streets. Two twins are lying side by side". To me also full circle. But over two tracks. He rly is genius.
22:39, "Violet's Tale" begins in 2005 with Violet on her deathbed in the hospital. It's set 14 years before Screech killed Jenny and Richard killed Screech. The time jump at the beginning is to a few hours before the hospital scene. He narrates a bit to explain the tragic circumstances that led to Violet's relationship with Stevie. Then he begins enacting the scene in which Stevie attacks her. In the last verse, he jumps forward in time back to the original scene in the hospital, with the death of Violet and the surprise reveal that Jenny and Screech were her twin children. When I first listened to "Violet's Tale" in 2022, I already knew that Ren had released the updated version of "Jenny's Tale" in February 2019 (the original is from fall 2012), so the fact that he set "Violet's Tale" in 2005 was a hint that Violet was at least Screech's mother. We know that Screech was "14 years old and out of his brain" when he murdered Jenny, and 2019 minus 14 is 2005. Then at the end, as soon as he said "two twins are lying side by side", I knew the other twin had to be Jenny, but it was still a pretty good surprise. I never would have suspected it because I thought Jenny was a grown woman when Screech killed her in "Jenny's Tale", not a young teenage girl.
All these people bitching about censoring cuss words can kick rocks. He has a family to support and cutting the cuss words doesn't make the song any less poignant. If you been riding with BP and now you threatening to unsub you're weak. Love ya BP, do what you gotta do.

I think all the people getting their panties in a twist over BP having to censor his own reaction to the song must have trouble distinguishing reality from fiction. A reaction is not the song itself. The original is uncensored and you all know it by heart, FFS. Getting outraged as though it were an act of disrespect to the artist is ridiculous. RU-vid reactions and reactors are *not like radio deejays of yore* - get with the program: They're not showing you the song so that you discover the artist. They're showing you a reaction to their own discovery of the song. They have absolutely no obligation to show you the song, let alone in its original state. They could chop it up and reorganize it in any way they see fit. The reactor might, let's imagine for the sake of argument, decide to rearrange their reaction in order of increasing surprise, which could utterly disorder the song as you, their viewer, hear it. Reactors do have a secondary effect (an emergent effect) which is that of getting exposure to the artist but that occurs when you to click on the link to the original song (which is what we all did, especially thanks to BP's innumerable reactions to Ren). Once again, if you want to hear the original, go watch the original. If you must get outraged, get outraged at RU-vid for forcing censorship upon the content creators
I kinda agree with the censorship for the audience if it means BP still gets paid. So long as the person reacting gets the full experience ( we all know the words and the impact ). BP has a family to support and has been given permission to earn from these reactions that we all love. Christ, give the guy a break and let him put food on the table. We all gotta eat. On the same grounds I say that I do not agree with censorship of opinions or language for the most part as we all have our own story but this story 99% of us know so, does it really matter? Just go to Rens channel and watch the original if you feel you need the cursing. I love the original and agree it helps having the cursing but in this moment, it’s only us as the viewer that are not hearing it… Move on…
This is my favorite song to watch people react to. It WILL hurt you, but the solidarity in that hurt feels nice in a way. This song brings out people's humanity in an incredible way.
I had an editor edit the curse words out so it doesn’t get flagged by youtube. This allows us to monetize the video and reach a larger audience. Funny how YT works.

It's not as strange as it may seem as a guitarist who sings while playing you write a song and you practice it a lot, it's not like we write something and then have to remember it it's a part of the process. And includes many hours of rehearsals and practice. It's not like he is playing chon, polyphia or coheed leads while singing he is strumming cool chords that flow with the vibe he is singing. It becomes second nature to play a part like the ones he plays while singing and performing, and yes it is difficult to do what ren does, he is a genius in a lot of ways, makes it look easy and is one of the most creative minds out there, so he is at the top of the top but the basics of what he is doing isn't difficult to replicate in a form that is recognizable and entertaining but it is absolutely difficult to perform his works with the same artistry and tone and get it to be as meaningful. But that's just what happens when something is created by an artist of their own originality, style and talent. You can't replicate and rarely can someone create a version of a song that is more impactful then the original. Except for one example. Please explain why you feel the need to blank out words which are all used in common parlance. I'm sure Ren wouldn't be too pleased about it at all. It's all about life; who gave you the right to decide what we should and shouldn't be exposed to? This is the type of behaviour that leads to the thing your country is so proud of, "Free Speech" being stopped. Please stop this unwanted censorship, it totally wasted a brilliant piece of art.

They were brother and sister but they didn't know. Your guest seemed to believe that Jenny wanted to escape BECAUSE of Screech. I think you should have clarified that for her. You did coyly and ambiguously refer to her being a prostitute but the way you said it could have meant anything and even if the meaning were grasped it still wouldn't have cleared up the confusion around Jenny and Screech's knowledge of each other. Thinking more on the ending would have helped, as Violet's death would have meant that Jenny and James (Screech) would have ended up in the care system, where they were obviously separated at an early age. The care system... because Stevie, the father, would either be in prison for murder, or on the run and the grandparents on Violet's side were clearly abusive/neglectful. Not known to each other... because that initial meeting was very obviously between 2 people that were strangers to each other. A fact that Ren himself has confirmed as being his meaning. Ditto Jenny's underage prostitution.
Yeah the censoring really takes the viewer out of the video. The Tales are a visceral experience and the intensity is enhanced because of the language. Plus, it's RU-vid. No one cares. I almost stopped watching just because it was annoying. 🤷

I love Ren and this video, and have no issues with the context of the implies violence, I'm just saying the context of the swearing is also relevant, and blind unconditional adherence to ancient rules of language completely misses the big picture, Kermit. Generally love your reactions but this was spoiled today by bleeping out all the swear words, I know your reactor is fairly young but I would imagine that none of the words used would be knew to her. It spoiled the flow of the songs and lost some of the meaning. For all that I do normally like your reactions xx
B.P did reply to an earlier comment about it. They heard it uncut, it was just edited for the viewers because RU-vid have started flagging the tales for the swearing, meaning he can't monetize without editing it. It's not B.Ps fault
Welcome back, Jelly Belly! There is always beauty in the dark, without both dark and light how could we know the difference? This is why Ren's material is called "Bardcore". My late partner lived like Violet, we changed the ending a little, I was not the Stevie. At least our kids are good. Ren's appearance in this and Hi Ren reminds me of my son. (I know, right!? I said they were good!)
That run on guitar at the beginning of screechs tale is screech out of his mind with anxiety and running bacause Ren makes the guitar or any instrument he plays a narrrator in his stories
If you want to watch the song, go watch the original, this is a reaction numbnuts, it doesn’t break the flow at all, here for the reactor’s reaction, that’s the whole point of a reaction video, it’s not to listen to an uninterrupted clone of the original

RU-vid is stupid if it is capricious about 'bad language,' it exists on the original on Ren's channel, and he posts the Lyrics with the 'bad' words, and I can do so in the comments here, but they have to be squashed like this is some Disney channel program for preteens? For some that isn't much of a bother, for others it is like fingernails on a chalkboard, so irritating to the point it is viscerally uncomfortable. So, yeah, some are going to say 'boo hoo' unsub and whatever, but the feeling is disrespect to the art and the artist. And this is just the already 'in the can' YT video, not the language of the reactor, and I can think of dozens of Ren reactors, some very well known and some not that swear in their reactions. Yes! If you go back on Ren's page you can find a video of the things Ren did leading up to the release. I was really crazy. He had Screech steel Ren's phone then start posting things with it. In those videos you get a ton of backstory on Screech.

It's unfortunate you had to censor it. The more reactions and channels I watch make me think dealing with YT is like fighting a hydra - cut off one head and two grow back and you also don't know which head and what mood it will be in when you encounter it. I enjoy your channel and have discovered rap and hip hop because of it which I'm trying to learn about.
Worth remembering the Original Tale Of Jenny & Screech had been based on a true story about a 14 year old boy who stabbed & killed a S@x Worker, Thus the line about her wearing high heel shoes, When he concieved Violet's tale, he changed the narrative that they were twins, the same age, But that was an afterthought, I imagine if he had written it in one session, She would have been walking home from school, That's always thae part that slightly doesn't fit, People often think 14 year old Jenny was walking the streets in high heels, But at the time it was a different person
Being a content creator is like dating a psycho, unpredictable and always gotta stay on your toes to avoid possible pitfalls. The censoring sucks, sure, but you do what you gotta do. If people are so eager to see the tales without censor and interruptions, they can just go to Ren's channel and watch it in full 🤷♀ I hope you bring her back for some more reactions and i'm hoping to see some more with Andiroo as well 🤘

I listen to some Ren songs but damn, a reactor edits his swear words so they don't get the video flagged or risk getting their channel banned and it's disrespectful. Most of them still believe Ren makes all the beats himself and that Sony kicked him to the kerb coz they didn't want anyone ill on the label
