Go ahead!! But you'll probably get hate form the alternative community. E-girls (the darker one) Are known as the kids who made fun of emos but now its popular so they joined in. If that makes sense.
Go for it. ☺ You could always bring a breath of fresh air to whatever aesthetic genre you choose to dress in. Just confidently express yourself. People always hate what they don't understand or cannot achieve themselves.
👌😂 honestly though haha i feel this style is WAY less cringey than the scene style of the late 2000s early 2010s. Aka neon monster band shirts, half checkered or bright skinny jeans...or black jeans, plus neon hair and a bit of harajuku style thrown into the mix. E girl fashion is so much better tbh
@@Congiary ok maybe i did say that e-girl fashion was better...but I didn't mean it like it is superior to the other alternative styles, because it isn't. I meant it in terms of how it looks aesthetically, it fits well together. That doesn't make the scene or emo fashion bad or less than any other. All fashion has pros and cons to it and not everyone in those subgroups will like certain pieces of it. If you ask any ex-scene or emo kid they'll say the fashion back then was a bit cringey. You can look back on what you grew up with and laugh at the things you did. Sorry for making this explanation so long . And goth fashion came from punk fashion in the early 70s, not the other way around.
seventhseance I love e-girl fashion. I like how varied it is! As a (retired) scene kid, I remember thinking all the “scene queens” looked alike- same thin frame, same hair in different colors, same poses in photos... in that regard, I would say it’s “better” because it’s more diverse!
WinsomeMisfit it is basically what they are but instead of letting 'scene' music influence they are more into dark trap or really grungy sounding and more into internet fashion
@@Congiary Actually, punk happened before goth. Goth is a part of the post-punk scene. Punk was around the 60s-70s and goth was around the 80s, and the main importance of both was not the just fashion. Punk and goth are also not connected to scene fashion, the only relation being that scene is also considered alternative.
i love how she doesnt like bash the egirl aesthetic/genre and actually tries to do it well🥺♥️ edit: thank you so much for 1,000 likes omg im crying♥️♥️♥️
@@oofydoom oh, most definitely. i would argue that the majority of them are on this purely for the trend and when the next one hits they'll ditch this look for whatever is 'in.' i'm just saying, it's a very _heavy_ look. there is a lot going on and they do everything to maximum saturation levels lol.
Ikr they use a lot of shit, imagine how long it takes to put everything on And when you're gonna sleep you're tired imagine having to take off all of that shit 😓😥
"this is definitely not emo" lol red eyeshadow all around the eye was huge for emos back in the day, I remember wishing I had red eyeshadow so bad cause none of the blush I had was pigmented enough to get the emo look I saw everywhere online
Felt like watching someone nervously trying to touch a spider for 30 minutes straight, but cuter. Next time she needs to be brave and go for it. There is almost nothing she can do to make herself unattractive.
Interesting note.... The captions called e-girl the following things: °e curled °eagles °eat girls °Igers °eager °dewy girls °movie girls °ego Thank you. That is all.
you need to own it. it's a whole lot of blush, and it's gonna look like a whole lot of blush lol I like it and I have used it irl and it looked fine, but I was aware of the look I was going for. I also find that it looks better if you put it over the nose and on the cheeks, kinda like sunburns form, it looks more cohesive and "on purpose" if that makes sense
I use heavy blush almost every day, I think it looks so cute, people sometimes say bad things about it, but I don’t care, I think if it fits my style, I i’ll use it
@@AetherealGirl no, not really, not just that, It's called being perfectly uniquely attractive. Most of them out there are just like overall attractive, Kerosene is perfectly wholesome.
I just hate the e-girls that used to bully emo kids and now are "emo" bc of the trend, pisses me off I used to do the straight brows too bc I liked the evil look since I've been an emo kid since 5th grade and I'm 19 now and people used to make fun of me hella for it and now its trendy🙄
Im 26 and it used to be alot worse for emos. Bullying is slowly getting less and less. Honestly though i feel bad for emos born in the 2000's they missed out on MCR, the used, afi, marilyn manson, panic at the disco and all the best bands first albums.. Im sorta getting in more folk punk music cause it reminds me of those bands before they got famous and the ppl..
I've been emo trash since I was 11 and I'm 23 now. I keep seeing people saying this shit and damn yall really need to get over middle/high school 😂 If people wanna be e-girls now even if they were mean to emo kids when they were literally children, who fuckin cares man
When I was 10 which was 21 years ago I was beaten up loads for dressing emo, I never changed my style for anyone and now I still wear what I want 🥰 don’t change for anyone else
Nah wait...when you’re 30, you’ll say, “I can’t believe I thought this age was old....I’m not old...older, not old...Mentally, I feel like I’m still fresh out of school.” As long as she is a productive and self sufficient/sustaining human, why does her wardrobe matter? Why are you being an ageist?
I did pigtails like that once in middle school and my friend said that I look dumb. A couple years later, after she completely forgot that I did that, she did it and was talking about this cool idea for her hair that she saw online... Like yeah, you saw it from me too.
I've seen tons of egirls have pink, peach, and orange type makeup that looks cutesy with darker more emo style clothing before so i think this look worked great
Definitely much more inspired by asian culture and anime, and 90s fashion. More meme culture too!! (Emo/Scene is where memes started, e-girl/e-boy is where memes have progressed.)
@@emphoenixcat1110 not really. I was born in the 90s and was a kid in the 2000s, so 90s things still existed and Influenced the 2000s, but it's kind of how we made sense of things, things we were interested in.
People are saying they are the "people who used to bully Emos"... Do you realize most of these girls are teenagers? Why are you accusing them of going into the past and bullying you😂? My sister is 14 and e-girl and she is so kind and nonjudgmental...and has no idea who you ADULT angry people are☠️
I was so confused too cause I’m new to the Alt Community and they’re like ya’ll teenagers used to hate us, like when?! we’re like very small when y’all are at peak
You sister never bullied us. But the girls who told me my music sucked 2 years ago now wear a uniform of whatever they consider "alternative". I mean, I'm glad they're getting into things close to actual punk/metal scenes because maybe they'll eventually get into the punk/metal scenes and that would be cool!
I live for the nose blush😭❤ so glad it finally became a trend. I've been using it since 2016 and people would always ask me if I was sick or even went as far as to wipe it off :|
When she talks about the PR goodies shes so humble and so... cute and so much like a child hahahah love the video and the career she's been building keep it up!! Saludos from Spain!!
i remember back when i was super into minecraft in like 2015, they used the term “e-girl” to mean a girl who dated a lot of guys online and moved through online relationships very quickly.
Dont talk badly about yourself! Im sure you are wonderful. Try putting some effort into your looks slowly, a little can go a long way and you will see how good it can make you feel and it will become more fun! 😊
you just need to work on this "laziness" because you really don't need to look like those beauty standars, you can be beautiful on your own way (it sounds like "ohh it's easy to say", but slowly i believe you will get there 🖤
Y'all saying "i like the style but not the personality" Well you can be inspired by literally anything and call it fashion So it doesn't mean you have to also behave like the people that you get the inspiration for your own fashion style
I usually find a lot of girls talking on tutorial quite annoying and stuck up but I really love the vibe you’re giving. It’s so down to earth and welcoming and warm.
Hey, like what you like, man, don't be afraid to do/like/watch the things you think other people will judge. She's cool, no doubt about that, so worry about being creepy or feminine, people need to stop worrying about that.
The eyeliner....in order to get that big straight wing it’s easier to start with the wing almost lining it up at the bottom lash line if that makes any sense lol
@@natep2809 I tend too jump between styles alot as I'm a fan of alot of different types of alternative/metal genres from industrial, EDM all the way up to death metal so my fashion/style represents what I'm listening at the time :) I love it all
Okay, so Im 27 this year. And when I was in grade 8... Gosh, 15 years ago.. I started a goth/emo/scene thing that was NOTHING like this. I wish it was, because THIS IS SO CUTE. 😍
In most of the references it looked like they matched their makeup to their hair in a way and I feel like you should have done a green and black eye look in a way but it still looks cute love the video 😍😊😊
OMG I am soo proud of how far you have come in growing your channel. Four years ago you helped me realize that I should do what makes me happy no matter what people think and I got my first side shave from watching you videos. So proud of you Love you 💕
I love how sweet and genuine you are while doing this look. I'm not an e-girl but I appreciate you not bashing them but rather trying to embody the look. E girls are adorable!!
My favorite part of this video is to this day she’s still the most encouraging person. She doesn’t bash anyone, or talk down and it’s so nice to see a change ♥️
This is the beauty content I want: someone giving different hair, make up and fashion a try, willing to look like an idiot (which she totally doesn't!). I also personally relate to risking it all when I put on liquid eyeliner 😁
I don't know anything about emo girl style but I'm naturally drawn to it.. I like the balance of black with green.. but the pink stuff makes it more cute. But for me I wouldn't do the hearts. LOVED THE CHOKER that's what drew me to watch 🤗🤗❤❤thanks 4 vid x
e girl doesn't mean emo girl, it means something like internet girl🤔 But i agree with you, the e girl style is really cute and out of the ordinary🌺 but i want emo girls to come back.. Those were the best.
Elena Weiss I never thought I’d see the day where the younger generation wants emo to come back lol. It was a pretty fun aesthetic. I wish I still had pics of my high school days.
I like this e-girl makeover ! I didn't actually know that there was different types of e-girls and i like this one a lot!! ur hair are really good like that, and the makeup fits!
I honestly love the cute makeup meshed with edgier clothes! The contrast of it makes everything stand out more, which in my eyes is kinda the goal of egirls
I really enjoy your videos! I remember when one of your first videos came up on my page and I'd sit on my computer just to see the little notification pop up! Your honestly an inspiration in a way to me you helped me improve my hair skills and now some makeup skills
i think you did great! i think e-boys/e-girls mix a lot of cute and edgy, also i think they do put some color in their outfits sometimes. but i've seen a lot of looks but cute makeup and more edgy accesories or clothes
Dude. . from someone who's been tuning in for quite a while and never tires of the content you put out, this one gets me✌ I appreciate the hell out of all of this in the raw💕
I do the cutesy pink makeup with the more "edgy" style of clothes all the time !! Like the striped shirt with t-shirt on top and ripped jeans & big combat boots. So I think you nailed it 💗
As an Egirl myself, you did pretty great! About the bracelets, to be honest there's no particular rule x it's just a mix of anime/otaku fashion mix x it's an art form and form of self expression but if I had to describe the fashion in one word it's ''extra'' :) I personally have a bunch of bracelets on my arms like band bracelets and loom and stuff. You did really great with this and the cutesy makeup is actually really on point with the Egirl thing. :3 there's no rules and that's what makes it fun! Cutesy and goth can belong if you want them to ❤️
