This is "every man" cup Finland (JM, jokkis) Fiat 133, ( with vw Golf or vw beetle engine) and other brands. You need racing JM- racing card, FIA licence, and car secured with rally seat, 4-seat belts, and other safety aspects as rally cars usually. Same in Sweden. You can buy this cars after the race is done. price is about 1500€
Finlanders love stock or banger racing but must admit this is cool...It looks like there all supped up rear engine compact cars with bigger wheels and higher suspension...Looks like a load of fun.

This sport is over 40 years old. I'm pretty sure they have a reason to have this suspension setup. If there was a better alternative, I'm sure many if not all would be running it.
@@jokumukamikalie It's my opinion. These small cars are better of with better shock absorbers and springs. But it is an expensive option. My guess is this is a cheap to run racecar class... Racing on both hard and soft underground using softer suspension to cope the holes... Nice to watch these races so not get me wrong
@@plymouthmechanic3423 It used to be cheap, but nowadays the engines cost thousands, sometimes tens of thousands to build. So either the rules don't allow certain suspension mods, or there's some other factor. I honestly hate folkrace because it used to be very entry level, but nowadays if you don't sink thousands to your car you have no hope of winning any major events.
CrypTic FiN i dont watch them! I get mad when it comes on.. they are build.. to roll over nothing more they cannot even take a decent turn anymore And the drivestyle is nothing race comparable just about crashing another car first

Poorly designed vehicles ,the ride height is way too high for the short wheel base , it looks like they where designed to roll over with ease ! But they are entertaining to watch .
That whole sport is meant for having fun. For the drivers and the audience. Its not like they would have big money for winning or from sponsors like in F1 :D
This is what they can do within the rules. You can't do much. And if you could and your car gets expensive you need to remember that anybody can buy your car after any race for €1500. The best cars here are worth much more though. Engines are custom made etc. And of course they will be sold after this race. From Wikipedia: "The races are run on special gravel or tarmac tracks, 2,400 metres (1.5 mi) in length.[1] The tracks are designed to limit the top speed to 80 km/h (50 mph), but on most of the tracks speeds of over 120 km/h can be reached. The competitions are divided into different classes depending on age and gender. Participants can be as young as 14 years of age. The race is divided into different heats with usually 6 cars. The driver winning a race is awarded seven points, second five points, third four points and so on. When all the heats have been driven, the total score is calculated[clarification needed] and the top six drivers get to race in the A final, the next six in the B final and so on. Because old road cars are used up in folk racing, retro and antique car enthusiasts talk about "the folk racing death": Folk racing does away with many cars that are too old to be considered usable for everyday driving but too new to have reached the status of a "veteran" or "antique". Folk racing is a full contact sport like banger racing. While collisions do happen and cars make contact with each other, intentionally ramming or obstructing a competitor is forbidden, and the safety rules are strict, so that teenagers (15 to 17 years old) and drivers without a regular driver's license may participate."
