I just finished tearing down the front section of my 2.0....couldn't have done it without you. .my main reference. ..this is my first time...im now going to tackle the rear tear down....thats for all your help and guidance. ...after I finish the revo. On to my x maxx.
yo mr alex...mike here so i went to my hobby shop..to get def fluid..and i got 100,000k fluid...when i looked it up said comes with 20.000..but saw that i could use 100.000k..so i got everything back together everything seems to spin ok till i go to tighten it down..i snug the 4 screws down and the damn thing is like its locked up... ..thanks Alex I'll try starting over..was not completely spotless..and I did crisscross them..I thought.. but maybe I did bind them..I try those ideas..so I should be using that other stuff..cause the stuff that came out was like silly putty...lol..but I sure appreciate ya.. I'm gonna try starting from square one again ..
Did you properly clean the center differential gears like truly clean them where there's no residue of the 20 million Factory fluid in their Factory they have 20 million not 200,000 K differential fluid if you want to lock your Center differential packet with 20 million differential fluid from Traxxas the same fluid that goes in the Traxxas X Maxx 8s for the center differential that is what I would personally recommend 200,000 weight is going to have a lot of front differential wheel spin when you get on the throttle really hard personally I would never put 200,000 weight in a center differential ever no matter what vehicle it is that's too light of a fluid and if the differential locking up when you're tightening the screws down are you tightening them at a crisscross pattern diagonally from each other also if you get him too tight you can cause the gears to bind to tight but you don't want to overdo it
@@alexperea20 I guess it was not spotless but not very dirty either..I did go crisscross like a tire..but I czould have messed up... I'm gonna go try it all over....so I should get that other stuff u say...gonna try starting over..but I sure appreciate ys
hey alex.. mike here thanks agian..now i got a another problem..i put in 100.000 lube in front and rear diffs..now im balloning tires..and getting way too much front tire spin..plus i got a grub screw on the driveshaft just spinng.. not sure if its that screw..think it may be the diff fluid..
Thanks for posting. The video really helped. One question though: My center diff has some play. I can push it a little bit around inside the housing. Is that normal!? Thanks.
can this case and the cush drive be installed on a Summit 1/10 or at least does the internals fit in the summit, since if I`m not mistaking the case sits in a different position on the 2.0... If the internals are swappable with the summit, can you please link or show part numbers?
