Your a Big Help for new Travelers. Make sure they go to the E-visa Government Site, I have heard people go through other sights and have been ripped off $150 ugh through 3rd party sites. I also check the visa requirements for other countries, because I was lucky to get a Passport from another country and some countries are visa free if you have a passport from one of those countries and of course some countries I go too wont accept a U.S. Passport, No problem, out comes my other Passport, it does save a few $$$.... Yeah, some sites charge a lot. But since I listed the prices in the video for the different visa options, they should know what to pay. And also I recommend them to visit their government website to check their eligibility, and perhaps their government website will list some resources or sites on where to get their visa. Hopefully nobody gets rips off 🤞

Honestly I have no idea...I know that people landing straight into Sharm from their international flight don't need a visa if they are staying for 14 days or less in Sharm and not traveling to other parts of the country. You will need your passport to exchange money. You can change it at the airport, any bank, or at exchange offices around the city. @Gventures
@Gventures Месяц назад
I can't, sorry, that's not really up my alley. I don't make a lot of expat videos, my videos are more geared for travelers visiting. Also don't make a lot of family/kid related videos. Finding my own apartment was a nightmare and I had my boyfriend's help. Trying to make a video about it would be extremely troublesome because I don't speak Arabic to even contact agents or owners, and I would be wasting people's times looking at places I don't even plan on renting. Also I don't know anything about international schools, and I've never even been to New Cairo in the 2.5 years I've lived here. Wish I could help but for all of those reasons, it's just not for me.

You are leaving the airport I guess? What's your nationality? Depending on your nationality, they will ask you questions or they won't. As an American, I would just put any hotel. If they asked me why I had a hotel when I was there for less than 24 hours, I would just say I didn't want to carry my luggage around if I decided to explore a little, or so I could lay down for awhile if I was tired.

I have just used Atlys for visa. They are slightly expensive and work on a 2 mode payment model. First for visa application (to the embassy) and then pay on delivery once you have got the visa. They have an agent in Egypt who provides the letter and the letter is delivered to you when you pay on delivery. There are no other charges for the letter. They say that if you have any issue then you can get in touch with the agent in Cairo using a local number. They looked shady to begin with but then it worked for me and my group. Certainly can be used for Egypt visa.

Everyone gets a 14-day grace period on the arrival visa. Last year, I got really ill and had my Gallbladder removed and spent 6 weeks in Hurghada. Not 1 person at the airport said a thing. I did inform the British Embassy and they sent a consulate to see me and that I was getting adequate treatment.

@Gventures I understand the Embassy never told me it was only for a short while they literally just said its ok and that there is a 14-day extension, so don't worry about it. Then, an Embassy Consul came to check on me in El Gouna Hospital to make sure I was ill and not Sunbathing partying it up, giving some excuses to stay longer. I love Egypt and go every 3 months for a month at a time.

@@bituoxsurveyor If you have more questions, I recommend getting on FB groups like Cairo expats and asking some questions about it there. You need to show some sort of proof of contract or payment for where you have been staying to extend the first time you request to extend. You are also required to show a receipt from the bank showing that you exchanged USD to EGP the same day that you are going to extend (that rule is pretty new). It's almost better to go to the bank and exchange the money first (maybe like $50-$70 USD), get the receipt for that and THEN go to the immigration office (3rd floor, window 37) to begin the process. If you don't go to the bank first, you will have to leave the immigration office in the middle of the process to exchange, which is a real pain in the ass. Also, remember it's Ramadan and hours of operation for banks and stuff can be different, another nuisance.

I heavily disagree to use any of the websites for the e-visa which show up in a google search. Instead go to the gov website of the "ministry foreign affairs"of your home country where entry regulations of foreign countries are explained. There (at least for Germany and assumable EU countries) the official gov links to the visa websites are displayed.

Well I did recommend everyone to always check THEIR government website for their eligibility, it's one of the first things I say in the video, and by doing so they can find links on how to apply there, as well as all over the internet. Simple! Print out your E-visa before boarding the plane to Egypt. When you arrive to the airport in Egypt, just get in line for immigration. Once you reach the desk with the immigration officer they will look at your e-visa that you printed out, maybe ask why you're there (likely the answer is tourism), get your passport stamped, and then enter!

But from what I've read about the Sinai Resort Stamp-that's the actual name of the stamp 😅, it says you need to list where you are staying and only names the 3 Red Sea towns of Sharm, Nuweibaa and Taba as exceptions to the no-visa rule, I don't think you're free to roam around anywhere you want on the Sinai Peninsula with that stamp. @@sanjaydua Nope, it's definitely just me responding, but I don't appreciate it when I work hard to make a video and provide useful information and then am being told "the video did not suggest the name of a particular company that can assist with this requirement. It just spoke of some one else's experience." I obviously DID leave the necessary information, so please listen carefully to what I say in the video and then I will not have to respond to your questions answering something I already said in the video. I have a full time job AND a RU-vid channel, so I am very busy, and it's frustrating to hear a comment like this when I spend so much time of my life trying to make these videos as clear and informative as possible, but then someone like yourself simply does not listen closely. I could have just ignored your comment asking for the information I suppose, but I did respond telling you where to find it. But you can't fault me for growing impatient, I'm a human girl sharing my love of Egypt online and making videos trying to help people out, not a perfect being or public servant. Good luck

@@OmarTayea Thanks Omar, but I'm not ignorant nor do I live under a rock. Thankfully, I love living in Egypt and don't have complaints to make about the country, that is not something I enjoy doing in any part of my life, complaining. I try to be a positive person, and although I know there are things wrong in any country, that is not what my channel is about and not my place to pick apart.

CanI know the reason why you love Egypt and settled there?😂

Yeah! I wasn't planning to stay here, I came with the plan to travel for 3 months and then continue on to other countries, but when I got here I didn't want to leave, so I stayed. I love everything about Egypt. The Egyptians are very friendly, curious, welcoming, and have a great sense of humor. The music is soulful, deep, full of longing and love and heartbreak, it's sad and beautiful all at once, I love it. The food is delicious (although I do like spicy food so I think it could be a bit spicier 😅), but I love Egyptian food (especially mahshy). I love Cairo. I know it's a crazy chaotic city, dusty and traffic jammed, but I thrive on the chaos of the city, and there's so much activity and things to do and see, I really love it. Egypt as a whole of course has so much history and that is always amazing to see too. The landscapes vary, 2 different seas to the north and to the east, mountains, deserts, oasis, farmland in the south and vegetation all along the Nile, it's so beautiful. There's lots to love about Egypt.
