Per the Service Manual, that code is: E0008 The difference between main and secondary torques is too large My Villain did the same thing one time, lost power steering. I don't recall an E0008 code, I think I recall seeing a power steering warning light. I shut it off and restarted it, and it went back to normal. Haven't had an issue since.
Wonder if your giant tires are causing trouble. The unsprung weight, rotating mass, and centrifugal force is probably double what the machine had at first. I'm going to be watching to see if anyone else has issues before I get big tires for mine.
@@sxsoutcast7651 Yes. Good. More people to test it out for me. I'm expecting a report once you have more time to look at this issue. Who knows, perhaps you're just overheating the electricals. Or perhaps it is just water somewhere-- If thats the case, I dont care because here in the Wild West we dont have to deal with water much.
@@herbf2700 real world riding is what MSC is doing and I think they're over 600 my miles and no issues. I just got back from another ride and no issues what so ever except that loud exhaust. It's coming off. I can't take it. Sounds good at idle but sucks when trying to hammer down.
@@sxsoutcast7651 Wait a week and MSC will have an aftermarket exhaust ready for you. I'm waiting to hear what it sounds like, and how it affects the performance. Also I'm waiting to see how the upcoming clutch kit works with those big tires. If everything checks out, I'm going to follow your lead and go big.
Had a 2020 XP pro had only 300 hours on it The battery was low so I charged battery after that my electric steering stopped working. So under warranty, I take it back to procaliber and literally they had it for almost 4 months all throughout the summer never used once. Soo when I got it back (what was there they replace a clutch since it was under warranty) I.. sold it!!! Much happier with my Segway villain... never given me any problems whatsoever. But I would advise to take every single connection you have whether guard or not and place dielectric grease in it as well as your fuse box. I've done this every single machine and never had and never electrical issue except for obviously the XP pro lol.. Dealer replace the whole power steering unit.... Thought that was kind of a joke!..
Dielectric grease is a big 💯. I went riding Saturday and it was fine. No problem whatsoever. I did grease all the wires/connectors I could get to. I hope the problem is gone.
The muffler came from Amazon. I can tell you this, you better like it extremely loud if you do this muffler. It's to loud and unless I can get a DB killer to quieten it then it's coming off. I was out yesterday and I had to leave early because it was so LOUD.. Trust me.
Did your segway villain happen to come with an owner's manual I've seen online where someone said the codes was listed in it ? I didn't get one with mine. It would be nice to have a owner's manual. Thanks for your reply iv seen all of your videos
I’d just battery and stator and voltage regulator connections and check voltage, when ur low on voltage first thing you lose is power steering at least that’s how it was on my old rzr
No. After the day it happened, it never happened again. I did run through a lot of water so when I got home I used dielectric grease on all of the wires behind the passenger tire and noticed a little bit of mud in one of the wires. Now I'm not saying this is a fix but mine never had the code reoccur.
@@sxsoutcast7651 thanks, will have a look. It just happened while on asfalt roads. Shut it down, restarted and no more errors. 200m later the error returned. It's now parked in front of the house.
@sledge144 Interesting. After I pulled whatever I could get loose and used the dielectric grease it never happened again. I'd check the connections. This isn't a common issue.
