Hello Christakis , you definitely need to get it going again there great buggy’s. I was lucky enough to win my local club’s vintage championship with mine
Hi Andy - what a gorgeous buggy that is, I can tell it was very smooth running and a good handling little beast! Nice to hear you talking about it's pros and cons. I would have taken that tarmac a little gingerly too, but with the shocks dialled in it would be a different story! Many congrats on the 1K milestone - very well deserved fella! 😎
Hiya Mark thank you very much , I’m Very pleased with the buggy it’s great fun. I think you have to talk about the pros and cons , you can’t just say everything’s great if it’s not. If you’ve never had a Mardave I’d definitely try one :) thanks again for watching band your support :)
Hi Bob, cheers for the comment, yes I love to tinker about with these buggy’s. I have a psychical disability though that can sometimes make things harder than they should be , so I found the cobra harder to build than it should have been. That said I love it and love driving it
Cheers , I could have driven it for ages but i was weary of giving the chassis a beating off thoes tarmac jumps, I may use it again in another video yet , as its ace to drive, cheers ;)
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 yeah,I could feel the caution of scratching the undercarriage. 👍🏼 Be great to see it running when you find a place you feel more free.
Great vid, used to race a cobra back in the early 90s. I would run a trinity 12 double motor and regularly won against my friend in a similar spec Losi XX👍 Looks smooth and has familiar sound to it. Nice👌
Hello Paul thanks for checking the video out. Really like the mardave cobra especially n I w with the upgraded rear ball diff and slipper clutch , great buggy’s, simple but very effective for what they were . Many thanks
Wow, that Cobra Eco looks and runs so good, nice job mate! And over 1000 subs, totally awesome dude!! I've recently rebuilt a Serpent Spyder SRX2 MHT, that was a right pain in places, but boy does it shift! I'm running an LRP V10 Spec5 17x2 with 7.2v nimh at present, although the stick packs don't fit properly so I've had to cable tie the battery to the chassis to give it a few test runs ;) Excellent video as always mate, keep up the good work, look forward to the next one!!
Cheers Barry, yes the Cobra is very nice thank you . Thanks on the 1k subs much appreciated cheers for the support. I’ve never had a serpent before , sounds rapid chap ;) hope to speak to you soon
Cngrats on the 1K milestone, Its probably the weight of the NIMH battery causing the soft back end, as you say up the spring firmness, increase the rear shock angle or the ride height as it'll be sorted :) Good little running vid :)
Hi Jon , I know what your saying with the weight of the Nihm pack but these were designed to run them , I just need to adjust the rear suspension as I was running it low for carpet racing, it’s easy fix, many thanks for your support and watching the vid :)
Big congrats on the 1k subscribers, Andy, definitely worth following your channel! I tried to find your facebook group, but couldn't see it in the results, but I'll try again later and hopefully manage to join. I'm not on Instagram yet... The buggy looks really cool, very smooth, I'm sure it performs well on a less brutal surface than that BMX track there! Looking forward to seeing more. Like I think I wrote earlier, never heard of Mardave earlier!
Cheers for watching.Yes I quite agree, I’d bought mine from the first batch and the new screw pins weren’t quite ready then , but it looks like a great upgrade
Very cool. thanks for showing us. Can you actually go in a race with other cars or on you own on a big track? For me that would be a big part of the hobby. I've never even had an RC car, Lol.
Hi there it’s basically up to you , you can either just drive them by yourself or if you want to get in to racing you can go race against other similar buggy’s and cars :)
I still have my original, from the 90s, i love it. I bought the Evo, didnt like it, so turned it into the Eco, with the old Cobra configuration. A question, if you don't mind me asking, Why have you got the under tray, under the chassis, ive got mine on the inside, on both cars. Stops grass getting caught up in it . Great clip tho, have fun with it..
Hi Joops glad you like the cobra , it’s a great buggy , I prefer the Eco over the Evo. I made a schoolboy error, I’d never had an undertray before for a cobra, and I thought it went underneath rather than on top of the chassis. Ooops ;) cheers for watching
I race the cobra a lot at my local club and I’ve done a few other race meeting with as well. Love the cobra it’s very cool. I don’t think There will be another release of the cobra but never say never, your best bet is a good 2nd hand one
Hi there , your best bet is to go to the Mardave website and enquire. They tend to make batches up of them and then release them for sale. Hope that helps
You could try Mardave directly on there website. Or email them first , but I’ve got a slight feeling they don’t ship to the US but please don’t quote me on that.
Cheers Eric, I really like mine it’s ace , a shame they won’t ship to the US though :( maybe one day you’ll get one , unless you know some one in the UK to buy one for you then get them to ship it to you ?
