My mother bought me one for Christmas in 1986. She let me have it Christmas Eve. I worked on it all day and all night the next morning I tried to drive it and all the wheels fell off. I was 12 years old and didn’t worry about reading directions.😂 it was my second RC the first one was the hornet this car was way cooler than a hornet except for the chain drive my third car was in associated the original RC 10 with the gold anodizing I no longer have any of those, but I do still on my B2 and B3 buggies and about 20 more. I’ve got a huge collection for a poor man lol🤷🏻♂️
That is a damn good looking trail truck, I love the Land Rover, sorry, the Bulldog bodyshell. Also, it's great that you've got a 'proper' microphone, but might be worth turning the input volume down or wearing it a bit lower if possible, it does reverberate a wee bit ;) Great video as always though mate, keep 'em coming!
It’s a lovely looking thing , I personally think the ride hight needs a bit of tweaking when you get out the box though. Looking forward to detailing up
It is pretty cool the way you remove the hood and the roof to access the body clips. Makes it look nice and clean when running! Great looking truck, have fun with it!!!
Cheers Addam early land rovers are my all time favourite 4x4/truck. Definitely liking the hidden body mounts as the Range Rover didn’t have them which spoilt it a bit. Thanks for checking it out, take care fella :)
Little girl boogies. After all these years, i still can't understand how big the stick radios were and still are across the pond. Is it a European thing? Lol
Yes the RGT is the same as the FTX Centaur. I have no idea why I thought the centaur had portals , I was getting mixed up with the ftx gladius which does (trx4 copy)
I wanted one of those. It's a shame they've scrapped it now. I guess a Schumacher cougar classic is the option for a traditional rear motor vintage British 2wd buggy now?
Only while Schumacher still make the cougar if they stop then it will be a little harder , plenty of after market stuff though. It’s still possible to build up a Mardave cobra to race , parts are out there , you just can’t go to the shops a by a lot of it
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 thanks for your reply. How do the Cobra and the cougar classic compare in terms of performance? And are they significantly slower than a modern 2wd?
Excellent. I have a few Tamiya cars and enjoy them all. Never owned a LunchBox though. I've been thinking of getting one for a bit now as I did some parts for a friend to improve the handling and it seemed like loads of fun. Seriously looking at one of these or one of them TT-01 or TT-02 truck kits. I'd do mine like an Mystery Machine also.
That was so much fun, my lunchbox was winning untill the team i lent it to cooked the new tourqe tuned motor. But i think they got 5th in the end ? I do hope they run this again next, it was great to watch and will have raised a nice chunk for the charity. Great to catch up with you again aswell 👍
This is fun and also funny video to watch. My Tamiya Lunchbox looks like the Scooby-Doo van. I got the decals in the UK. I wonder why the Midnight Pumpkin was not included in this race. It is the same chassis but a different body. Thoughts?
The Tamiya Lunchbox is the perfect RC. In spite of and because of it's many wonderful flaws. Seeing a dozen or more run at once is a true treat. Thanks, Andy. This was great.
