Except they released it too early to try an get a headstart against the ps3. That's where that whole red ring of death issue came from. Halo 2 was the most popular game all the way until the launch of Halo 3 in 2007. Took a while for the 360 to get going.
This was the Xbox 360 I grew up and liked; healthy Japanese support, no adds, focus is on games, Microsoft having a big selection of varied exclusives, Xbox Live had value and simplistic dashboard.

They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. I have learned more about the different abilities of different materials which include bending, cracking, supporting other materials, electric conductivity, etc. while researching the RRoD than in the entire time at Chemistry class at School. Experience is sometimes much better than just dumping info onto a child's brain
While the 360 ended up selling the least amount of hardware units that generation, it's important to remember that it was the industry leader, even if it wasn't the market leader. While the biggest innovations of the Wii and PS3 are largely forgotten about nowadays (motion controls and Blu-ray support) the 360's biggest innovations are still relevant to this day and still play a huge part in the industry. Could you imagine a modern gaming industry without achievements? Or online gaming without the features we take for granted today?

Mohammed Hanif yeah I agree... especially the first half... but towards the end MS seemed to pump the brakes big time on first party development, Sony stepped up righted the ship and then the last of us came out and I was starting to shift my favoritism toward the PS... But I also thought MS was shifting their development to the next Xbox... wow was I wrong, and Sony trounced them on all fronts especially first party titles... that being said I’m hoping MS builds a complete beast for this up coming gen and seriously releases some great first party titles.
10 years later i am still using my 360 original elite. i have ps4, xbox one, and wii u but this system gets used the most. halo 3, classic cod, skyrim, last odyssey, blue dragon, gears, best paid online subscription service on the market... it's all good.
+EP1CNELSON hey you still play the original xbox! so do i! do you think there will be original xbox backwards compatibility on xbox one? i think that if there is then they should bring back original xbox live and the games should have the servers overhauled to prevent any lag in the games or long wait times in between games. also the people on xbox one should be able to play with people on the original xbox.
+Zach Smith Yeah, maybe one day. I miss mech assult, HALO 1 and 2, I miss a lot of games, and I'm sure if Microsoft brought back an HD version of these games it would be profitable to them. of course they did bring back HALO 1 and 2 remakes.
It's mad how the graphics have evolved from what they first showed us in the conference. Makes me excited to see the games getting better on next gen. They are amazing right now.

Yeah, 2005 was an exciting year for gaming because they knew how to market the things. E3 2013 was just depressing with all the DRM TV bullshit. Last E3 was much better and I hope the trend continues for next month.

+andy holtby generations are typically around 5 years. the last one went on too long, both MS and Sony have said that and so have high ups from the big publishers, they aren't going to want this generation to go on as long and become stale like the last one did.
So, we take this graphics of the xbox 360 on the release day and make a comparission with the graphics now a day, with the GTA 5 for example... Now taking the amazing graphics of BF4 or RISE from the XONE, I just got excited trying to imagine what is coming up on the next 5 years.

I 'm a Microsoft and Sony kind of guy. Xbox One launch was very rocky, but it's getting better. Bought the Xbox One before the PS4. I love all platforms. I love my PC too, but I don't believe in the "master race" crap. That is stupid.
same here pc or console I'm not mega fussed although pc has it's advantages, sony lost me at the ps3,always had ps1 and ps2 but hated the psp like dash of the ps3, never had a ps4 just use my rgh and pc now although my lad has a xb1, funny thing is I've had ylod but never rrod
I wouldn't say Xbox is all about TV now. You can still play games on Xbone and it's not like you have to use TV, music or sports. Plus the Xbox One without Kinect is coming out and the E3 conference is about games so don't be complaining
I hope Series X is the best Xbox console since the 360. One was good but definitely dropped in quality in terms of UI, games, and features with Xbox Live that were missing even though the 360 had them.
So far it has been for me. Especially with game pass ultimate. Series x won me back as I switched to PS4 last gen. But haven't even considered the PS5 this gen

Innovation was constant in the early days of gaming, things have slowed and the console gaming space seems to be slowly dying off. I hope the pace of innovation in the gaming space picks up and we can reach the same levels of excitement around new consoles/games we used to.
The Quality of this video is so low quality, but E3 2005 Microsoft Xbox 360 press conference was better than Sony Playstation 3, because it show too much games it make me and other people excited!
Today we can say, we were just lucky to the excitement that the xbox360 gave us and what nostalgia it gave us....Forever treasuring the console, the people ive met on it and the memories i made with games played on it.
What they were trying to do with Xbox 360 legitimately sounds like the iPhone, but with a game controller. The 360 was so ahead of the curve in so many ways, and it's tragic to see that it relied on other Microsoft products that inevitably flopped, making some of these cutting edge features useless. It's a good thing they put gaming first on the 360, because if it failed to be a decent game system, it would have been a massive commercial failure.

The Xbox 360 isn't the first console to introduce online connectivity, gaming, and DLC, but it set the trend. It was the standard for others to follow. And for a supposedly inferior hardware compared to the PS3, the developers found it so easy to work with that it had the better versions of great games like Bayonetta, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and more. Very deserving to be in the Top 10 best consoles of all time.

I remember seeing Ghost Recon 3 and showing all my friends how crazy the new graphics were. It's funny to look at launch titles, which were basically more detailed Xbox titles and then see what they were accomplishing on the system towards the end of it's life; like Bioshock Infinite.
That ui was so clean. Man I miss this era Greed has really got to games and it’s very sad to see. I saw the take 2 ceos comments about price per hour and that would basically be the death of gaming
