More work on the R53 Mini Cooper S project car. Engine swap action in two parts. Be sure to check out the first part as well! • E31a - Putting the Eng... As always thanks to @Spurious Pseudo for all the help.
Man don't give up now.!! I've watched this job from the start and followed every nut and bolt. This is the point we've all been waiting for, keep going we all want to hear this girl sing. "If a man can build it, a man can fix it."
you put all your effort and your money in this car, and as you said this channel is all about fixing and learning, don't lose hope and continue until the end, I followed your videos from the beginning and Im so excited to hear this mini engine running .
You said a while back that you're seing this project as a mini cooper mechanic class cause you're learning a lot from it.... well, your knowlege is going to be way better then if everything had been perfect the first time..... Don't let go... your videos are giving great infos.....
Absolutely gutted for you, just binge watched and subscribed to the channel, as horrible as this is, it will be a good story in years to come and be all worth it once up and running, and think of all you have learned
brilliant we get more R53 build content as you travel on & share your journey - you Sir have what it takes & that's why I've subscribed - didn't see that head issue has me bummed out
Wow man that really sucks. I also kind of have had a checked past with the R53 as my first project car. That break something while fixing something else situation and hoping if its not a big turnaround repair. I've had so many stripped or broken bolts Don't have any proof. but this sort things seems to happen less when I work on the car in warmer temps. In temps below 60-55F, the metal BMW uses seems to be more brittle.
Have not given up! Had to wait a month for parts then tons of other house related stuff to work on. Getting back to it soon. The motivation comes in bursts.
Good Man. Shame life gets in the way.😂. Got the same car here, same year, engine. Just rebuilt it and put the last pieces in before I fire it up this weekend. Fingers crossed. Your build helped a lot if it's any consolation. Keep going mate..
