Taking the pins off and leaving the carrier attached is a good tip when just doing the pads… i hadn’t thought of that! If you’re doing the rotors too then I’d do the job without removing the pins and take the whole caliper assembly off by just removing the two carrier bolts, which is what I’ve always done regardless. Thanks man!! Keep the e34 stuff coming! My ‘91 535i will appreciate it.
Some very illustrative and very interesting videos... It would be appreciated if you continue climbing higher and when you can use the front brakes... A greeting from Spain..🙂🙂🙂
Hello, if I want to take out the calipers and spray paint, the brake oil in the brake oil pipe will flow down. Is there any good way to stop the oil in the brake oil pipe from leaking out? Can you make a video to share? Thanks
You will end up with a small amount of leakage, but from my experience not a whole lot comes out if you're able to keep the end of the line held up in the air. I would recommend capping the hose with either a rubber cap or by taping it off to prevent moisture from getting into the brake fluid.
Nice vid again. Not sure if removing the shims was a good idea; no extra vibrations or noise? Furthermore, just get a torque wrench my man! Look forward to the next video
