Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Finnegan Ricardo thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Nice video, and it's so cool you have your son helping with it. Great bonding time and what an impression to leave on your kid showing him to do stuff like this.
Thank you Soooooo much, I getting my seat cover and carpet replaced and I changing my carbon fiber console, I bought the replacement already and was about to get someone to install it. They were going to charge a extra 100.00 to install it but after watching you video half a dozen times I did it myself. I owe you one 😉😁
For your problem with the vinyl pealing back, make sure you post heat any vinyl you do. This will take any memory the vinyl has and reset it to the new shapes of the pieces you wrapped. A good rule of thumb is to get the surface of the vinyl right around 180-190 degrees fahrenheit. I had problems when I first started to do vinyl but after figuring this out I have not had any problems yet.
dude, without this video I would have never got this done tonight. Took me forever but I got it done. I few mistakes, but barely noticeable. I may get bored of the brushed titanium and redo it all in a few years. Thanks so much. Peace.
Thanks man!! This was super informative and exactly what I was looking for. My E39 was looking exactly like yours, wrapped trim, but not center console. Two thumbs uppp
Thanks for sharing this. My mint condition 2003 530i auto has this nice wood trim. Right now I am purchasing a 2002 manual 530i and this one has the CF inside trim. I will definetely swap the trims as I like the wood one much more.
yea those packages are a dream, I went with the gas saver 4 cylinder 4runner cuz money is hard to come by for a college student, eventually I'ma get the Highlander edition...those are badasses...but best of luck to ya man and thanks again!
The ashtray door is just held in with four small screws, I found it very helpful to remove it. Other than that I think you did a good job, I completely messed up the button for locking the door so I might have to redo it some time...
jajajajajaja I have to agree with you on that. Yes, that's the best way of getting rid of the bubbles. I haven't used the glossy vinyl yet and I wasn't sure if it would be too glossy for my taste. I would rater use it for exterior. I'm thinking of wrapping my roof rack, if I do i'll make a video showing the difference on material.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the look, but the way you kept those diagonal lines straight on multiple pieces is great skill. Thanks for this instructional video, it was helpful in showing me how to remove the center console. The screw under the hazard button- I would've never seen that.
Thanks. To be honest with you is really easy. This was my first big project. Other than this I had only done my trims. It look intimidating, but is easy. You should give it a shot.
I recently wrapped this kind of trim . There was cracks in the trim and what you can do is take a razor blade and skratch them down nice and flat so that it wouldn't show in the vinyl.
nice! thanks for the tips. How much should I buy if I wanna do my bmw trim and just shifter trim? It is only like 5 pieces of dash trim and the shifter trim and should I only buy 3m?
Looks tight, I purchased some from my walmart, seems the same quality but i don't care, i dont wanna spend lots so i got it cheap, will install it on my car. Nice video.
yep.. It'll be 4D. I already order it. If I like it enough I'll redo all the interior. But I think I'll start with the roof rack. And Thanks for the support
Looks fricken great!!! Depending on the car I get, the trim is totally being wrapped in carbon fiber! To make your centre console stand out, I'd get a new shifter! (Although I'm sure you've already done that since you uploaded this video 3 years ago :P)
So far yes.. I have not tried it on wood. I will soon. I'm planning of making a wooden rifle case and want to wrap it. I'll let you know if it works once I'm done.
Thanks. Few air bubbles here and there, but not many. They do not go away on their own. Thats something you have to take care of when Wrapping with the squeegee and heat gun.
