This sounds like a winner. Like the idea of a hybrid whisky/brandy. Will anxiously await to see how it distills out. Am kind of jealous. In these crazy times am having trouble getting any grain from my usual source due to limited time that he is staying open. Hoping that will begin to change soon, but in a safe manner.
Hiya Randy . When it comes to corn maze is it still 0.25 to 0.5 poinds to a gallon of water . For years I did up to 3/4 pound White corn per gal. O.25 Rye to 0.5 Barley . Rye ground to almost a maze texture .to get that pepper to pop on the Back side .. and 6 pounds yellow malt corn to ferment . Have I been over doing it on 50 gal runs . Sugar is normal 1 to 1 on the water .cheers
Just a question mate... Why don't you add the apples in when when the grains are converting to convert the apple sugars as well? Just a thought, love the video anyway. Cheers mate.
Great question apples already have sugar wanted them in fermenter to let them ferment the grains in mash tun wanted to convert the starch into sugars but next time I think I am going to try to cook the apples first to see what happens always a work in progress Cheers!!
