Thanks for providing a video on this install, not too many are doing this and it sucks for those of us that own E9X M3's... So much appreciated. However, the torque spec for the OFH to engine block is 7ft lb (or 10NM) and you stated you torque it to ~50 ft lb... Hopefully you luck out and don't have issues the next time you go to replace the OFHG again!
Thanks for the video! I just picked up an 08 M3 that has the oil filter housing leak and I'm debating tackling this on my own. Have the replacement kit from FCP Euro and just need to order one of those low profile Torx. Nice job man!
No problem man it’s not the best video, but I just wanted to get something out there to help cause I know when I was looking there was nothing. But, hell yeah you can do it! Just take your time no need to rush. It’s not hard at all.
@ChrisLacedup do you have to remove the water pump it's self? Mine doesn't have more than 20k on it, I replaced with new style pump like yours in the video.
Oil leaks on the passenger side, it gets everywhere on your reinforcement plate. Get an inspection mirror and look under the ps pump, it's hard to see but you'll see it.
