YES THE GENERATED PLAYER FACE! THEY ALREADY HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY FOR IT AND IT APPEARS FOR YOUR BE A PRO PLAYER! I was actually just talking about having the real coaches last night lol. The banner raising and jersey retirement yes! Everything you said should be added and most of them I already wanted myself. Also I think it would be cool if when signing a Free Agent you could view their awards. So let's say McDavid is a UFA and when you click on him you can see how many Art Ross Trophies, or Hart Trophies, or Stanley cups or etc he's won. Same with coaches (idk if you can already but like the Jack Adams and Presidents trophies and cups and stuff).

I think they should definetly make Free Agency more interactive kind of like how they made the trade deadline better

I think NHL 14 had and a few other games around that time had the banner raise in your first regular season home game after winning a cup

This is more about connected franchise, but I was thinking that you could create your own league with your friends and say you need at least six teams to start. That way you're not just 32 teams with six being controlled and 26 just being computers and as time goes on, maybe you add more people to the league and it grows naturally. Either with existing teams, completely created teams, or a combo.

i would like to see more mascot and jersey options and i would also like to see something like if you reach a certain millstone as a franchise like certain amount of Stanley cup wins or your the 33 team in your 10th year you unlock the ability to make a new jersey for your team

Another idea I had: Have a 1/50, or at least a low odd chance that a first round draft pick (High Elite to High Franchise pot. excluded) will refuse to play for your team, making you have to trade a high quality prospect, bringing more realism and bringing situations like Cutter Gauthier, and Eric Lindros to the game.

Veteran/Rookie mentorship system like the NBA games. Rebuild the morale/chemistry system, Rebuild the coaching system, Rebuild the scouting system. Access info from past games, team/line comparisons before games. Options to line match. Options to control Time on Ice. Also better GM decision making from CPU teams. Just saw the cpu make the most insane trade for a 39 year old Crosby. It hasn't felt anything like a genuine SIM mode for many years.

Alot of the things you touched on I actually mentioned in my rant on my page. As of now like you said I'm not holding my breathe on any of these things to happen

Great Video and list Vasy!! I really liked the LTIR, All Star Game, Skills competition, Winter Classic ideas. Also the GM part, to be able to accept players to World Juniors or ECHL would add another layer on the Franchise mode. The Generated plater faces need to be fixed, I also would like us to be able to edit all generated players faces. Real life coaches would be amazing, and thing of all different story lines you would be able to have with that. Moving draftpicks outside the franchise mode is also a must. Merging EA roster with the one you created is not an option, if you dont want to redo everything again. The only thing I miss in your list is the possibility to manage more than one franchise at the same time, just like you can do in season mode. Hopefully some of this will be added in NHL 25!!

I am big on the ECHL replacing Jr as the league they can grow in. I think if you draft someone they should be put in the ECHL until you sign them and then they are in the AHL.

May I add one… make a one button trigger or something to change your backup goalies without having to go to edit lines. Something on the main UI. Been asking for years lol. Great video. Great rosters!

In NHL 17 i made a Expansion team named them the Kansas City Scouts when i was doing the Expansion draft the Canucks, Predators , Islanders somehow did a 3 team trade the Canucks had Lee , Barzal Predators had Markstrom , Mayfeild the Islanders Rinne , Forsberg i forget the defenseman from the Canucks they had and there was a couple minor leagues for all 3 teams i had to look it up

I think being able to loan players back to Europe would be cool and realistic, like for example Anton Wahlberg have been loaned to Malmö after signing ELC with Buffalo. There are tons of other examples like that. Instead of sending them to the AHL where they might be too low OVR. I'd rather have that than ECHL as the european leagues are likely slightly better for development than ECHL and they are already in the game and not utilized. I wish they would fix the coaches. my goalie coach doesn't want to be a goalie coach he wants to be assistant coach like wtf? the coaching system is broken and useless right now.

One thing I wish they allowed us to do inside franchise mode was to customize overalls. Most sports games have it. Yes, it's not realistic, but I love that because i'd hate to draft someone who's elite potential and just doesn't grow to anything. It's also a video game which is supposed to be fun for people. Another thing I wish they added was the ability to turn on and off the abilities regression system.

Not sure if you mentioned this but it would really good to add protected draft picks for picks that have already been traded IRL and also for picks that you trade while playing

You have the best rosters in NHL

today mode: start the nhl from the time of the day, so you can get the actual stats and records of teams. i know madden, 2k, and maybe even the show have this. also player tags (which i know madden has) could add something like playoff performer or a playoff flopper, which makes players perform better or worse in the playoffs (tags can be added over time)

As the season goes on, there should be franchise updates to allow me to start a franchise mode at the date of whatever roster update I downloaded, or draft or trade deadline or two weeks before trade deadline or playoffs or Christmas/New Year’s.

I really hope Ea makes it so you can put your roster on Xbox and PlayStation

I think a better solution to having the ECHL would just be the ability to loan players out, whether it be to the ECHL or to one of the European leagues. If they perform well, then they'll grow, similar to what you mentioned for free agents. lIf you had that, then your idea with loaning players for World Juniors would just be the same thing. I think you could definitely take the World Juniors another step forward, speaking of which. It's arguably the biggest international tournament in the world, it would be cool if prospects could have a really good tournament and go up in potential and/or draft stock if they're undrafted. The way prospects develop is so stale, they could definitely add something to liven it a tad. Also, side note, the reason they don't have coaches in the game is because a coach is removed from the NHL Coach's Association as soon as they're fired, so EA would have to remove them immediately and roll out a new roster or else they'd be vulnerable to a lawsuit. I think they should either let you customize them or just have static builds. That way at least if you start a FM you're not randomly getting a terrible coach that completely tanks your season or a great coach that makes you a playoff team when you want to tank.

Doesn’t LTIR already exist? If a player is injured, I don’t think their salary counts towards the cap

Also raised the banner when won the Division and the Conference...only Stanley Cup Banner is sucked...wish the whole all time list of every team...players trophies, coach records, team trophies, records of every single season and playoffs in franchise, u can play in a season with more than one GM at the same time or u can play as player for a team and coaching another and so on...two different videogames...one for off and one for online...

love this video but sadly dont think we will get any new presintation stuff ever since hut started hosting the gaming champions ship thats all they care about but involing franchise mode i wish gm connected was back i love online franchise on madden and i bet i would have lots of fun with it in nhl

I would love being able to create own mask for custom teams. It's annoying that when I start season, goalie has a default grey mask unless I remember to switch it to something more fitting. And it's annoying to use masks that don't fit your team's colors and style

I get that this type of video is all the rage for anyone in the EA sports franchise community. My question is: do we really think they ever consider anything in these type of vids?

The sad part about this is. That i am sure they will talk about adding AI features to their production etc., but can not add any or very limited portions of this. I think about 15-20 of the things you mentioned here are easily doable for almost any company of EA NHL scale, but they just will say "resources" are not sufficient, whilst raking in all of the HUT resources year over year lol. I don't want to villainize that community (HUT), but the one and only reason why we don't get these features is because of HUT. if people stopped engaging with HUT they will either shutdown the game or force them to make FRANCHISE, BE A PRO, and potentially EASHL (because it is essentially a live service) much better.

I think generated player faces, a live world, a gm tracker, more expansion, and a longer time then 25 years would make the mode so much better, players are generated from every league in the draft and the NCAA isn’t needed with the USA leagues

There should be something like team builder for cf25 (College Football 25)

I would love to see more depth in general for contracts. Oh I'll just offer this guy money and wait for a yes. Oh I'll offer this UFA a contract and he'll tell me no when he signs with a different team. Some players dont want to sign in canada, or with a division rival, or maybe they want to come to a roster thats ready to compete for the cup. Its shouldn't just be about contract dollars.

Nice list! Currently franchise mode is extremely stale and boring. It feels like a dead world, unless you larp and create your own stories. I would love NHL 25 on PC with mod support, the possibilities would be endless...

I just wish that GM Firing could be turned on while owner mode is off. It makes no sense that GM Firing can only happen if you're also acting as owner. Its never made sense.

Every game EA makes seems to go above and beyond, then there's NHL. I feel like this is just a game that gets roster updates and maybe a few visual things every year. Maybe a control change if we're lucky. This game is just not important for them to develop. Every NHL game since 2015 has been a copy paste, with some minor UX, graphics, and roster changes

God I wish this was on PC I know for a fact this would all have been mods already

Cap in the game needs to be fixed if you are against the Cap it's fine . where i have the problem is say i trade some players then say i have a 5 mil Cap space when trading or signing a players it would tell me i only have anywhere from 4 mil to 4.5 mill Cap space. Me i would love maybe cut scenes of players getting a C or A on their Jerseys . Speaking of Jerseys maybe a way to edit a Home & Away & Alt's in franchise or maybe in Franchise have it you can pick a old Home & Away & Alt and modernize them in the new fantantics look alot of the teams over the years update their old like in Adadis design like Hurricanes Whalers Jerseys over the years also would real coachs

In fifa it’s possible to become a national team coach while having your normal team. It would be fun to have something like that so you also look at drafting more. Like I take Ottawa and Germany and then trade for jj and reichel and try to draft as many German players as I can
