What they need is serious competition because people will always buy but when another football game gives them a run for their money they will have no choice but to sit up
The people who design this game do not play football, are not interested in football and have absolutely no interest in making a compelling videogame based on the sport. They just want your money. Stop giving them your money!
Bruh even the reviewers are starting to sound more and more depressed regarding yearly sports games at this point... Even as someone who couldn't care about these type of games it's really goddamn sad to see these go down the crapper...
So basically the best part of the game is "Rush Mode" which is actually nothing to do with real football. In a few years it will be basically the football version of Space Jam. This just proves that a year update would suffice. But if people will buy it then who can blame them for making it. Build it, and they will come and all that.
The defense in fifa has been lackluster for a few years. Gamers are not going to play a sports game for fun when you can’t score goals easily. This is the problem with NHL too. Kids primarily buy these games. The developers are going to make sure that goals, home runs, and touchdowns can be performed because ultimately that’s what sells the game.
The game is built on an engine that is 10 years old now. They need take a year off to do a whole new game which they will never do because ultimate team makes so much money.
Great analysis. Defending is really bad, and EA has also removed a lot of team and player tactics. FC 25 is so bad that it makes the much-criticized FC24 look really good
Ngl Yes I bought the game but man I barely play it anymore, this time I legit don’t see my self buying fc26 next year…feels like im feeding an addiction instead of enjoying a video game
The users are itching to buy a new product - even when nothing changes - EA should be punished - by not purchasing their new release - and force them to rebuild the game we love
There have been AI engines that can produce photo real graphics in FIFA games for 4 years, if they can’t even upgrade the graphics to a current generation level after 6 years, then you can’t expect no effort in the rest of the game. They saved a lot of money no longer having the fifa name on the box and none of that extra money saved went on developing a better game.
running as if on roller skates, when a long pass is shot, the player's knees jump up to his forehead, the ball jumps like in table tennis, not to mention glitches...and so on for years
It's the worst game ever made, passing is terrible, 0 pressure on the ball by the cpu, 0 movement by the cpu, the ball rebounds to the opponent every single time. They just should stop making the game at this point
If people stop buying the game, then ea may cancel the entire series which is actually a good thing. Since it will force them to make good games again such need for speed and mass effect. Pes and football manager aren't great games. Better of playing mortal kombat or tekken.
And we're also stuck with this as videogame players... there are no real competitors for a good football game, as long as this continues to be true EA doesn't care if they sell the same videogame changing just the year in the title
Makes FC 24 look like a masterpiece. The game is choppy and sluggish, dribbling is absolutely trash, passing is pathetic, players feel like they’re playing in the mud. The only thing upgraded was the goalies in my opinion. FC 24 feels so responsive and smooth, passing was not as touchy, players could dribble by defenders, you could score with crosses, through balls, spinning defenders. This is coming from an exclusively manager career mode and pro clubs player.
Imo: The movement is slightly better. The pre match intros in career modes is not a feature and EA is pretending it is. Rush is not good enough. Menus are a disaster.
Face it, there's nothing more you can add to a football game especially to release it annually! Nothing changes in football besides kits, transfers pretty much.....they should just continuously update the game yearly, not bring a brand new one out! And year after year it's always broken, they only care about UT
Haven't actually played a match yet as I'm setting up my club in the first transfer window in career mode but my first criticism is why are the menus so so dull in their presentation? It's so bland it puts you off playing the game especially as we're gonna spend lots of time in these menus. Navigating them is no treat either. Sure there's worse ahead 😢
Yearly releases of Fifa (or any sports game, for that matter) made perfect sense back in the 90s and 2000s, when each annual release was an entirely new game, with a wholly different engine, graphics and gameplay. Fifa 95 is completely different from Fifa 96, which was completely different from Fifa 97 - which, by the way, was completely different from Fifa 98 (and so forth).... Nowadays, Fifa games are basically the same stuff since 2016. Makes no sense to buy the game each year.
How are they not making crowds not look like waxwork models as well. There's so many Unreal / Houdini engine tools for realistic crowd simulatrors, and AI and yet still look like the crowds for FIFA RTWC 98 (What a game though!)
Rush isn't my cup of tea as the lack of defending bores me. The new simulation setting makes it more playable but it still isn't great. Just about passable which is ridiculous at this stage.
The issue with so many players to manage it becomes just 90% ai and 10% human involvement. I don't know why playing football on pc is any worth. It's like watching a game with control over one of the players 😂
People here are the same in fc community. They cry for ign reviewing yet they are here. Fc community cry for it's the same game yet they are buying it.
It's time for sports games to drop semi-annually or biyearly. Dropping every single year just doesn't work anymore. The games aren't that different anymore. Plus most of the changes are more cosmetic than new modes or new features.
The only way the game will improve is if they separate FUT as a f2p. It's obviously their priority because that's the only thing they promote. At least then they would be forced to improve other games modes and gameplay to sell the game.
