Nope, my place is probably still more than an overnight trip from this place. But the location and vegetation is similar. This is a plantation area not a residential area.
Im not indonesian... But i follow asia pacific rally series since late 80s untill now... And im proud that wrc did have official rally indonesia back then in the 90s... Only complains in this EA WRC pacifico/asia/indonesia stages... Is it wasnt quite narrow enough... Real palm oil/rubber plantation rally stage were really narrow in real life.. In this game it looks like i was wider 30% than it should be...😅 Thats all.. cant wait to grab this game when its launched officially

I thought they'd use the APRC Danau Toba Rally stages in North Sumatera Province for the Indonesia location buy instead, they opted for a brand new location around the palm oil plantation site in South Solok Regency, West Sumatra. Which is north of the Mount Kerinci actually! Looks like FIA is already planning for a future Indonesian WRC comeback, after all😆
@@user-tg7id9zv6e Well, you won't find this stage in particular based on name searching alone because "Gunung Tujuh" most likely is a misnomer by itself. I'm sure you're directed to a different place when you're searching for the stage name on the Maps, right? That's the exact place that "Gunung Tujuh" mostly refers to. But if you watch another video of the game's complete stage list and begin to search the location of the rest of Rally Pacifico stages on the Maps, you'll find many stages are located within the palm oil site in South Solok or in other locations or sites surrounding the territory of the regency itself.

@@user-tg7id9zv6e That I can't tell precisely, unfortunately😅 That's because Rally Pacifico is an entirely fictional event unique to the game while the historical and the currently planned upcoming Rally of Indonesia took place/will be taking place at different palm oil site near Lake Toba, North Sumatera. Probably the exact same routes used for the APRC Danau Toba stages. Therefore, the Rally Pacifico location is supposed to be speculative in nature. It could still be based on a fairly accurate recreation of the real routes across the palm oil plantation region of South Solok but for a legal reason, they might have to take some creative liberty here and there in order to avoid further legal troubles. Plus, I'm not native to South Solok or West Sumatera in general. I'm from North Kalimantan and we have thousands upon thousands hectares of palm oil plantations across the island here as well, so I'm just no stranger of the landscape and the vibe since it looks almost identical there.

these 'previews' being handed out to certain influencers are in no way indicative of how the final product will turn out. What we are looking at right now probably predates several weeks. A game that looks this unpolished wouldn't even make it past the Alpha stage. A lot can change in this timeframe, so fingers crossed this game will turn out the way the community has been waiting for more than a decade now, but as of yet, this prototype is all we have. From what I can see, it's a mediocre graphical improvement, although DR 2.0 was way more cartoon-ish looking. Yet, they still retained the abhorrent saturation from DR 2.0
Wow, much more tracks and much more countries to compete in! Although I will not be buying this game in it's release because I have no money, but I'm still excited for the game.

Cars don't get dirty after a full stage in the mud? I find the bloom effect horrible, as well. Everything, especially the ground, is so bright. Is this 2007, when we had insane bloom effects in literally everything?
agree 100%. This was my issue going from dirt rally 1 to 2. Why do they insist on over-saturation, colour filters, high contrast and enhanced bloom? It does not look authentic, natural or realistic. It might be "pretty" at times, but appropriate in something like a high-fantasy RPG, not a rally game.....

Mud effects on cars are something Codemasters games have had some Colin McRae Rally 2 in 2000 (and virtually every rally game since then has had it, including the WRC games by Evolution Studios, Milestone and Kylotonn). Bloom and exposure settings are creative choices, not hard things to fix. Stop making excuses for them

Great, with EA financing Codemaster as one of its studio, we will have a much better WRC experience than the one offered by Nacon; the visual, the sound, Codemaster just gets it right all the time.

The environments and vegetation looks really good. I hope they tweak the way cars are lit before release. In this video of this VIP build the cars look a bit plastici.
The sound of the EVO VI in this game has nothing to do with the sound in Dirt Rally 2.0 which was the right one for EV0 VI. This sound reminds me of NFS Underground series car sounds.
This stage really remind me the road my family took to go to my late grandmother's house. I remember my father's van got stuck in the mud there. And of course superb driving. Btw do u always use chase cam?
The road surface is unusually flat. Theres not much bumps or rocks in the tracks, which unusual, given that these are public roads, so the roads will often get worn out and exposed uneven surfaces
Compared to Dirt Rally 2.0 , EA Sport WRC IS A KID GAME , and i think they did to give possibility to kid to play too . I stay in my own and still play Dirt rally 2.0 waiting for the 3.0 ❤
Why are those race marshals at the beginning of the start line just standing there looking into empty space. Be good if they were looking at you, the driver and looking around 😂
Finally, I saw a preview-built version video that arouses interest and desire to purchase the game. It looks like Dirt Rally 2.0 with slightly improved graphics and a new stage. This is exactly what I expected from Dirt Rally 3.0 before purchasing Electronics Arts Codesumters studio. Ok, I definitely like this video (except for the absence of dirt on the car, but this is obviously a shortcoming of the pre-release version). We can only hope that there will be enough such pleasant surprises (new cool stages) in the game. I'm not a fan of many stages in KT series (WRC 8,9,10,Gen). Too narrow sections with not always interesting configurations quickly discouraged interest, as did the behavior of the cars. Fans of Codemasters and DR series can breathe out. We're waiting for the game itself. Please let there be more Codemasters impact, fingers crossed.

you can always get started with something cheaper I got my G29 like 5 or 6 years ago and am only now upgrading to Moza (did many of diy upgrades on my G29 tho like magnetic shifters, gear lever upgrades and a load cell brake pedal which I am going to actually use with the new Moza wheel since it runs off Arduino). G29 is still perfectly good and also it might not be wroth to throw out all that money right at the get go, since what if sim racing actually isn't for you after all. Then you will have all this gear collecting dust in the corner. Also might be worth checking out the used market. I once got my brother a T150 for a mere 60€. You should be a bit vary with that though, if you are not into fixing stuff urself as potentiometers in pedals can sometimes be worn.
every static elements are looking good. surface, trees, sunset, sky, crowd etc but dynamic elements are weird. skidmarks is not okay. vehicle's movement are not looking improved. I'm still worried about this EA's new product.
